I had been once before a couple of years ago as I'm not from the area but have family here. The last time I visited was for a party and my son got punched in the face by another boy (not from our group). The staff got an ice pack for him but were not at all bothered about finding the culprit and letting his parents know what he had done. By the time I took my son back around to have a look he had gone. 2 years on and another party invite. The Kids had a fantastic time as it's a big play area with plenty for all ages. I was surprised to see they now serve alcohol but apart from that not much has changed. At the end of the party my nephew was attacked by a group of boys who started kicking him and pulling his hair. My son pulled him out only to be attacked himself. He got away extremely upset and with a neck injury. My other nephew was also set upon. The staff did not seem at all bothered but when pressed said they would get the manager. When he finally came out he just stood there scratching his head not sure what he should do. Meanwhile we had located the group of boys and brought them out. Fair enough they apologised for their behaviour as requested (by us not the staff) except for the ring leader who was spoken to quickly ,and then ushered away and sent back in to play. Parents were not told. I expressed by digust at how they had dealt with this and that for that boy there were no conseqences for his actions. I also requested the accident book for my son's injury as this had not been offered.
I've given a rating as poor as before all this had happened everything was satisfactory. I will not be going again as although I know things like this can happen I would want all children who play there to know that if the rules are broken or their behaviour is unacceptable there will be consequences and that it would be dealt with by staff who have care and concern for their customers.
