“A real gem'”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2011

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Old Quarry Cottage self contained apartment. Everything was there and even freshly baked scones on arrival - a wonderful welcome. The accommodation was modern, clean and plentiful in its entirety. Breakfast was taken in the conservatory in the cottage looking out at the garden. We were asked the evening before on what we would like for breakfast and we were not disappointed as the food was delicious.
This accommodation is highly recommended.

The Webbs go out of their way to make their guests feel at home, and the pretty cottage is well cared for, with a lovely garden, and the first floor room very comfortable and spacious, attractively decorated in blue and white. Excellent breakfasts in the conservatory. A small quibble - the shower room is very small, not surprising given the small size of the cottage, and you are in serious danger of getting scalded if anybody else is drawing water while you are having a shower! Very comfortable and quiet location, and lots of charming extras such as fresh flowers in the bedroom, pretty china and so on. Highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed 3 nights at this excellent B and B. The accommodation and breakfast was outstanding and the location was very quiet with beautiful scenery. Our hosts. Trisha and Anthony were very friendly and helpful. There was lots of sightseeing in the local area

We have stayed here many times and cannot recommend it enough. Tricia and Tony are wonderful hosts and the accommodation is second to none. Both the two rooms and the Coach House are very tastefully furnished with every detail catered for. Breakfast is fresh and deliciouse with a selection of jams and preserves mostly home made. Breakfast is served in the conservatory which overlooks the garden - lovely.

This is the perfect base to visit the wonderful Ironbridge museums, Much Wenlock and with Wenlock Edge and the Long Mynd next door - a walkers paradise.

What a wonderful place to stay - we can't wait until our next visit.

Really comfortable and spotless accommodation plus excellent food and a friendly welcome made this the best value for money out of half a dozen we have used this month. The only one that matched it cost half as much again. This is the one we would be most likely to return to.

Everything about this B&B is perfect!
A friendly greeting from Tricia and Anthony starts things off, and the generous offering of a superb lemon drizzle cake was welcomed! A sign of good things to come!!
Our room was bright, fresh, relaxing and fully stocked with all you could possibly need for a pleasant stay.
The local pub (The Feathers) offers great food and is stumbling distance from Old Quarry Cottage (don't forget to ask to borrow a torch for the journey back!!!)
Breakfasts at Old Quarry Cottage are WONDERFUL!!! All locally sourced produce, and Tricia's home made preserves are delicious - i'd definitely recommend purchasing a jar before you leave. I wish I'd bought more!!
All in all, a lovely place to stay - the area is riddled with fascinating places to visit and areas steeped in history. And all within easy drives from this B&B.
I'll definitely be booking a return visit!
