I visited here as one of a group of 8 friends 17/3/2012. We arrived at 7.45 for 8 and were greeted by the waitress, Aston, who was very friendly and chirpy. We ordered drinks and were then seated at our table.
Having made our food choices and waited quite some time we had to ask for someone to take our orders. That and the fact that they only had 2 lamb shanks when we wanted to order four were the only 2 negatives from the evening.
Starters arrived within a reasonable length of time from ordering and everyone seemed happy with the quantity and quality of food.
Mains were equally good with no complaints from the party. I had the rib-eye steak medium rare which was perfectly cooked and melted in the mouth. The chips were made from real potatoes! and were crisp not soggy as they often are. Veg was nicely steamed and the salad was ok too.
We were all too full for a sweet which indicates that portions were not skimpy. The owner/chef, Ros, came out to speak to us after the meal which was a nice touch and she was very pleasant with a GSOH.
Total bill for 8 including several drinks each was £220.
