“Very loud music”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

As well as a bar with a loud tele that really caters for locals who want to meet up and watch the football. The food is reasonably priced, the portions are small and edible. It is popular with families with small children and there are different seating areas. If you want a peaceful meal, this won't be the place for you

“What a shame”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2013

After going to the Lord Nelson at least once a week for 2 years I can honestly say tonight was the worst. I don't expect 5* food but after waiting almost an hour I got what I could only describe as the bottom of a burnt pot of rice with some sort of korma flavored soup? The staff were oblivious. Could have done with Phil and his people around. Disgusting :(

“Meat and potatoes.”

Food and service is OK. Nowt special but good value if you need to fill a hole.

It does have a nice beer garden for the summer days and plenty of parking spaces.

“Reasonably quiet, polite and helpful staff, it's value for money!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

Had a very pleasant day out at the White Horse Uffington and I was looking for somewhere to eat on the way home. Spotted this place near a roundabout with plenty of parking and drove in. The food was OK, but the service makes up for the less than spectacular food. Would I go back there again, yes.
