As other reviewers have said - not far from M40 - easy to get off and back on Motorway. Arrived on a very damp chilly October morning (28th). Got such a nice welcome from the young lady at the bar. Ordered our drinks and sat by the log fire to warm up with our drinks - ordered our meals and then went through to a very pleasant restaurant area. We could have stayed by the fire if we wished. Nothing was too much trouble. We only had 'light bites' but very good. Ham Ploughmans, Sausage and beans jacket potatoe and sausage and onion baguette. Didn't have long to wait even though everything was freshly prepared. Service couldn't have been better - smiles all round. We even had an accident with a jug of milk on the carpet - all sorted with absolutely no fuss. We only manage to get here once a year on a trip to The Great South Run and wish it was our local pub.
