This was my 4th[?] stay in this home away from home environment. In the future will be my 5th, 6th and ?? What more can I say? Excellent food and I was pleased to find that Alfie the lab has joined the venerable and entertaining Woody... Only was sad to find that Dave, the 17 year old feline was now chasing mice in the sky.... Just a nice comfortable and homey spot to stay.

Room Tip: Have only stayed in one called the Boy's Dorm and it is worthy of repeating!

We stayed here as we had friends getting married in the local area. Beautiful property - we stayed in the head, asters room which was clean, comfortable and lots of character!! The best part of this place is without a doubt Joy who certainly lives up to her name! A joy to deal with - friendly, helpful and does a mean breakfast - delicious fruit, continental or cooked brekkie in her beautiful kitchen. Cant't recommend this place highly enough - we'll certainly stay agin if we're ever in the area again. Thanks again Joy.

I stayed here for three nights recently, whilst on a training course in the area. Joy was very welcoming and friendly. I stayed in the larger room (Headmasters Room) and it was very clean and comfortable too. The continental breakfast is amazing and very fresh. I would recommend staying here to anyone who is training, or wanting to travel around the Nottingham/Lincoln areas.

Room Tip: The village train station has direct links to Nottingham and Lincoln. Nottingham is only about 10 mi...

This was a real joy, which both decribes everything about the Old School Mews and Joy herself. She makes you so welcome and nothing is too much trouble. The room was warm, cosy and all the little touches made it (including the Wurthers sweets at the side of the bed). Breakfast was excellent and more than enough to set you up for the day. We would more than recommend The Old School Mews and look forward to our next visit. Thanks for everything Joy, including the fun chat?

Room Tip: The Headmasters room is lovely.

What a lovely place. Joy, the owner was really helpful and even booked us into a local pub, The Worlds End, for a meal on a busy Friday evening. My wife and I enjoyed a really nice, genuinely home cooked meal and me a pint or three of local ale, before setting off to visit the three other pubs in Lowdham village.

We had booked The Headmasters Room for our one night stay and it was really cosy and warm. The facilities were excellent and the house is a credit to its owners. After a really nice and filling breakfast we got to meet their two black Labrador dogs, which pleased us no end as we were missing our two big daft dogs back home!

If we had stayed longer and didn’t fancy the drive, then the village has a train station with connections to both Nottingham and Lincoln.

Would definitely stay again!

We stayed in this gorgeous bnb on the way to Harrogate and I can honestly say we had a better stay here than we did in the four star hotel in Harrogate! The room was warm and cosy, the bathroom had everything you needed...big fluffy towels and little shampoos! To top it off the cooked breakfast the next day was cooked to perfection. I would strongly recommend staying in this bnb with a lovely host and her very friendly dogs!

We stayed here one night but needed to park the car in the morning as we were going out for the day. It was no problem, we were given the key to the room and were able to leave our things ready for our return. We had a lovely room, very comfy and clean. Breakfast was excellent, lots of fresh fruit, yoghurt and cereals, plus a freshly cooked breakfast of our choice. We were made to feel very much at home, and will definitely stay again.
