“A great experience courtesy of National Trust”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2013

We joined the National Trust for Scotland in the morning and used the tickets (on mobile) immediately at this location. Lovely venue, great afternoon tea, wonderful house and history as well as superb gardens (not fully in bloom yet). A very popular venue with queues to get into the house. Check out the main claim to fame of the former owner on line. It is however on a big hill and much of the visit would be hard for some with walking difficulty.

“Long Weekend in Northumberland”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2013

This is truely a wonderful place. The house is fantastic and the gardens are lovely as well. We spent around 4 hours here, so even though the entrance price is a little expensive we overall found value for money. A must see!

“Nice place but very pricey”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013

£13 each to enter the house , ground, garden !!! I think this was well over priced !!! It's a great place to visit tho just very pricey to get in !!!! £26 for a few hours ????? Not good value !!

The house was great but only 1 staff member interacted with me and my girlfriend !! It was in the games room !! She was great !!

Latte I got from the cafey was tasteless very milky and the cake was bog standard !

Just think you need to drop your prices and make the place a big more interactive .......

“Impressive and interesting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013

Although not members of the National Trust the entry fees were worth every penny (pound!).There is the wonderful fantasy of a house to visit - the fireplace - is just wonderful and crazy. Many interesting rooms, not least the kitchen, to see, although I thought the art was quite dull and surprisingly ordinary given that he was multi-millionaire.(However, there is some nice stained glass designed by William Morris). The grounds are beautiful and one can soon lose the other visitors. In fact on the six-mile drive round the grounds we saw only two other cars. The staff were really helpful and friendly and I found the disability guide notes some of the best I have come across. There is a lift for the disabled which takes you to the upper story, good car parking facilities and a small bus which takes those that require a lift from the shop and cafe (excellent food by the way) to the house. This was my second visit to Cragside and the house and gardens never cease to amaze me.
