My family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) stayed here for Easter 2012. The lodge no 4 was exceptionally clean and spacious. It is actually a 12ft wide caravan with plastic wood look alike cladding all around the outside and double glazed windows and doors. The double bedroom was large and had plenty of storage and an ensuite. The twin room was tiny, but my girls liked it.The kitchen area was well equipped and everything was clean. The room and dining area was roomy and bright.
Unfortunately it rained for all of the holiday so we were unable to enjoy the patio area which had a table and chairs set out.Instead we spent a cosy time watching dvds.
Access for the A1 is good,as the site is right next to it.This made it rather noisy with the passing traffic.Husband couldn't sleep a wink with the road noise but the rest of us were fine. The springy bed stopped me from having a good nights sleep. The site itself was quiet as there are only around 10 Hoseasons lodges and the rest are privately owned. The owners were helpful and came immediately when we had plumbing trouble. There is nowhere to go on the site.We looked for a walk, but ended up in some kind of dumping waste ground. There was a football play area.
I'd recommend here for a base for exploring Northumberland as its easy to get to places, but you need a car for getting around the area.
