“Modern, clean, peaceful.....an ideal stopover”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013

Tastefully decorated in a modern house and in excellent order. My double room had a small en-suite shower room with complimentary toiletries. Best of all, it had a sitting area (conservatory) with books, DVDs, CDs and ambient lighting - all very restful. Breakfast produce fresh and tasty. Highly recommended.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2013

Stayed with Dorothy and Gordon for over a week and could not fault anything. Comfortable bed (which really matters) and a splendid sitting room stocked with a comprehensive array of books on local issues, especially natural history, hosts with impressive knowledge of the island and its everyday life coming from being well integrated into island life despite being ‘incomers’, sumptuous breakfast, off-road parking and located quietly but within a few minutes’ stroll of the main street. You could not want more.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

Just got back from a great weekend on Holy Island and stayed at the High Rigg House. The house was lovely, set back from the main street, very peaceful with great views.

The rooms were so nicely decorated, the breakfast was delicious with locally sourced produce. Gordon and Dorothy were the perfect hosts, with a great deal of knowledge about the island, which saved us some time trying to find what to do.
