Perfect! Walk from the Bamburgh Village Green through a metal gate and into an untamed English garden. A bronze cricket doorstop greets you beside many pairs of small to large muck boots. Enter and absorb the comfort of a home with a history shared. A cocktail in front of the fire, breakfast varied and delicious, and a room natural and spacious; it’s like a stay with an old friend.

Our first trip to Bamburgh Hall three years ago was a happy accident; we continue to patronise the Hall because we appreciate the warm wellcome relaxed and informal style, the dog eared wonderful individuality that works so well for those of us who eschew the bling and faux boutiqe fake-corporate hotel standard available on demand in most towns and cities in the UK.
Do not expect the 5 star but relax in the real fire lit lounge have a drink, pop out for a meal over the road and then back for a night cap,and a very comfortable bed.
We reccomend the attic suite for families the great view over the castle and best of all wake up to much more than you can eat.
Bamburgh Hall is a national treasure! when travelling along the N E coast accept no substitute.

Room Tip: get in the attic if you can It,s wonderfull.

We were welcomed on a very windy night and without more ado the fire was lit in the drawing room. Our hosts were hospitable and made us feel very much at home: great care had been taken over providing everything for their guests. The location is ideal, we relaxed into our short stay and were sad we could not stay another night.
The village pubs and restaurants are just over the road and the setting next to the Church is four-square. We hope to return one day.

The other reviews sum this place up really. It's not very comfortable, the doors don't lock and everything in it is really old and dated. The latter is where the charm starts. The place is steeped in history and the owners are lovely, very flexible and interesting.

It's a great spot in the village and worth a visit if you don't take life too seriously.

If you like quirky rather that boutique, this is the place for you. A beautiful house, warm welcome, extremely comfortable beds, yummy breakfast served in a gorgeous dining room on lovely china with a huge pot of tea or cafetiere of coffee each! Then to top it all off, a cosy sitting room for the exclusive use of guests with an incredible amount of interesting objects and a complimentary drinks tray. Bamburgh is a lovely little town and this is the perfect place to stay whilst you visit. We had the first floor double ensuite room (big bath, good shower) with views of the sea, books galore, a gorgeous tea tray with homemade cakes and plenty of toiletries should you have forgotten anything. Although this is definitely a place to relax and maybe feel you're living in another century, the Wi-Fi works very well in the sitting room and there is a tv to ignore when you fall asleep in front of the roaring log fire. St. Aidan's church is right next door and the Grace Darling museum just over the road. A great choice of places to eat all within walking distance and the castle and beach down the road. Oh, and don't forget to get fish and chips from Pinnacles in Seahouses and eat by the harbour, delicious.

A really lovely house and garden, with great, friendly hosts. Bamburgh Hall Farm is a real home, with no surrender to the usual bland décor that b&b's generally adopt for broad appeal. Lots of interesting pictures and books and other 'stuff'. Great breakfast - and you can be sure where the eggs come from... :) Location in the middle of the village is excellent, very handy for pubs/shops and very quiet. Stock up at Carters butchers on your way home.

Outside fragrant flowers greet you along the footpath leading to this beautiful B&B where Barbara & Charles await to greet you heartily inside. Quite simply you feel as if you are being welcomed by family.
Superb drinks tray in the drawing room, excellent breakfast in the dining room, ostriches decorate the bathroom! Yes you did read that right! Free range chickens strut around the garden. Blissful location.
If you're looking for hermetic, modern, monochromatic this is not the place for you.
