“Excellent Castle and Walk”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

Park just outside of Craster and walk to the castle, you won't be disappointed with the walk or the views, absolutely outstanding.
The Castle has some amazing history, especially the story of why it was built, won't spoil it!!
After the Castle, walk back to Craster to enjoy a spot of lunch in this lovely little harbour village.

“Nice walk to castle”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

Parked in Craster , nice sunny day so the walk to the castle was lovely, the views from the castle are great, well worth a visit, although, you would need a nice day to get the full benefit.

“well worth a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

The location of this castle is not that easy to get to. Well worth the walk there, dramatic remnants. Lovely views and location. Extremely helpful staff. Would be a lovely place for a summer picnic.

“Evocative ruin”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013

The location of this castle ruin, away from any settlement and right on the dunes, makes it particularly striking. As the wind whistles through the remaining walls, it's quite a place to set the imagination working.
