I stayed for a week in April and found Linda & Kevin to be excellent hosts, nothing was to much trouble. The room was very comfortable with a lovely view of the garden which was spectacular. I opted for the full english breakfast from the menu, which was cooked by Linda and was delicious. I would recommend Reighamsyde to anyone wishing to stay in that part of the country and I wouldnt hesitate to stay there again, it was very good value for money.

My mother and I were traveling with my 2 children (9 and 11) to Alnwick Castle. While eating lunch at Barter Books (wonderful and a must-stop for the books of course and a cozy lunch in the waiting room....if you are really hungry, try the sausage sandwich or burger), I called a couple of B&Bs about staying for the night. Not only did Kevin come pick us up right away, he also took us to the castle after we dropped our bags off. I love Kevin's catch phrase "no problem", because it is totally how they operate. If you need anything, it is not a problem. My son was delighted to find out that they had a DVD player, so we could all sit in the living room and watching a film before going to bed. I kept looking out the window with the beautiful view of the valley as the sun was going down then. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable, very "homey" feeling. The next morning we woke up to the smell of bacon wafting through the house. Linda's breakfast tasted as wonderful as it smelled, fresh as could be eggs, the yummy bacon and sauteed mushrooms that my mother adored. I just wish that we had not been in such a rush to catch our bus, so I could have finished my great coffee! (again Kevin took us to the station) Finally, a special mention to the garden....absolutely gorgeous.

Had a lovely one night stay, as part of our visit to Alnwick Castle (our 6-year old son is a big Harry Potter fan). Excellent breakfast, clean room (absolutely spotless), and lovely hosts.

We only stayed for one night and recieved a welcome as if we were family, the house and gardens were spotless and immaculate, a large lounge with fantastic views was available for our use if required. The room was very spacious and clean and a very comfortable bed and quiet even at front of house. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts Kevin and Linda, they recommended good places to eat and ensured heating was on for our return as it was chilly out. The breakfast was amazing and we even got some magic tricks thrown in. We even got a guided tour of the greenhouses as we were so impressed with the garden. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to area and would recommend to anyone. Thank you from John and Eunice from Cumbria.

We spent 2 nights at Reighamsyde just before Easter weekend 2012. We chose to stay here as other local B&B's seemed to have a 'no children' policy which was a shame ..... For our well-behaved and completely house trained 8yr old!

Linda and Kevin were brilliant hosts: very friendly and knowledgable about the local area. We were all made to feel very welcome.

We all stayed in room 3 which was just big enough with a Kingsize bed and a fold-up bed for our son. He said it was very comfy. The ensuite was a good size and the big walk-in shower was heavenly.

Having use of the guest lounge was a great way of winding down in the evening in front of the fire playing board games and having use of the TV (there is also a TV and wifi in the bedroom.)

The bedroom was spotless and I have to mention the hairdryer! It was a proper powerful dryer that actually dried your hair unlike those funny old fashioned brown things you usually find in hotels which just hum at you and blow luke-warm air :)

Parking in the driveway was a little tricky esp when 3 cars were present but was overcome with a 3/4 point turn.

Location wise Reighamsyde is just out of town. You could walk into town (about 15 mins or so) but we chose to drive. We didnt hear any traffic noise during our stay.

The breakfast was fab!

All in all a great place to stay for a family get-away.

Room Tip: Room 3 had a very soft / bouncy mattress - a bit too soft for our tastes.

.We stayed at Reighamsyde for one night in August. It had absolutely everything needed for a comfortable stay and a great deal of thought had been put into it, The bedroom was very comfortable (if a little chintzy for our personal taste) but the showeroom was modern and stylish.
We had our best breakfast in Northumberland. Both my husband's cooked breakfast and my continental breakfast were first rate. We were also pleased to find separate tables as we had spent the previous two mornings having enforced conversations with strangers at communal tables!
The owners could not have been more welcoming or attentive and were happy to give good advice on where to eat, etc. Everywhere was spotless. We enjoyed our stay. Paulandro

Linda and Kevin were wonderful hosts - although Kevin, we didn't know about your magic tricks! The room was very clean, roomy and comfortable, and breakfast a treat. Hope we manage another trip to the U.K. and a stay with you. Cheers Rob and Roxanne from Australia.
