Mrs Sue Davidson runs this accommodation in the family home. We received a very warm welcome , including a lovely tea in the garden, and Sue provided a friendly and attentive service throughout our stay. She was always available when needed. The rooms provided are very comfortably furnished and equipped and exceptionally clean. We were provided with clean towels each day even though we were there for only four nights. The breakfasts were first class with fresh produce for the cooked serving. We were offerred Wifi access although this was not needed. There are nice little extra touches like a sweet bowl in each room, very much appreciated.
The house is located on the edge of a small residential estate and is ideally located for access to the town whilst being away from the busy Alnwick centre. The house is also conveniently close to the A1. Mrs Davidson was always able to provide us with information and answers about local amenities thus helping to facilitate our visit.
We thought this B&B provided very good value for money and would recommend it for anyone visiting Alnwick who preferred this style of accommodation to a hotel.

I wish a lot of hotels would give the same levels of comfort and friendliness my wife and I experienced staying at the Acorns for three nights.Everything was of the highest order, from the smart decor and furnishings, comfortable bed and pleasant sitting room, to the exceptional breakfast. Our host Sue Davison did everthing to make our stay at her modern house not far from the centre of Alnwick a delighful experience, which it was.

Had a lovely week end break with superb accomodation and delicious food.
We were looked after very well and made to feel at home as soon as we arrived.
Loved the town and National Trust at Cragside is a must but allow a full day.

A very welcoming B&B chosen at random from the internet. Very clean and comfortable room with use of a guests' lounge and secluded garden. Local information and advice available from the owner. Free Wi-fi on request. Varied breakfast menu and flexible times. Impressed with attention to detail to ensure guests' maximum comfort and satisfaction. Good restaurants within easy reach, including a hotel restaurant around the corner which has a comprehensive menu (and an early bird) for all tastes.
Would recommend The Acorns for an en route stay-over or for a longer sojourn to explore Northumbia, which is also highly recommended

I stayed at the Acorns for a weekend while doing some walking in Northumberland. Everything about this B&B was excellent. I had the Annex room which was very spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. It had its own sitting area and a separate entrance. Breakfast was lovely as was the packed lunch which was provided for me to take out each day. The owner Sue was helpful and welcoming and provided good information in the room about Alnwick and the surrounding area, with tips about the best places to visit and the best places to eat. As a regular visitor to Northumberland, I didn't need this information myself but found myself agreeing with lots of the recommendations!

The location on the edge of Alnwick town centre was quiet but very convenient. The whole experience was great quality at a very reasonable price - I wish all B&Bs were as good as this.

My mum and I stayed here for a long weekend when visiting family in Morpeth and it really was super. The house is modern, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. We stayed in the annexe on the ground foor which has its own outside door. There was plenty of parking and it is in a quiet and convenient location. The owners are very friendly and helpful, looking up tide times for a visit to Holy Island etc. The full breakfast was just great and we enjoyed sitting in the conservatory occasionally with tea and home-made cake in there on arrival. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Acorns to anyone and hope it's not too long before we'll be back there ourselves.
