“Afternoon tea”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 days ago NEW via mobile

Just had the loveliest afternoon tea. The surroundings are stunning, the decor is lavish without being pretentious and all the staff were welcoming and attentive. A lovely combination of dainty sandwiches were washed down by home made scones and a selection of delicious pastries. Feeling thoroughly spoilt.

Thank you for taking the time to share your wonderful comments and photo of your afternoon tea following your recent visit.

Im so pleased you had such a lovely time and enjoyed all aspects of your time with us here at Fawsley. Our pastry team are incredibly talented and like that of yours, receive other fantastic comments on the standard of afternoon teas created. They are becoming renowned and the settings of the Great Hall only adds to their appeal.

I hope you find time to visit again soon for more.

This wonderful old building has been completely renovated to a very high standard by Handpicked Hotels. It has been worth all the effort and the cost. From the bedrooms to the spa with an outside hot tub Jacuzzi, to the dining and the service, the standards are very high indeed. Staff have now been brought into the Handpicked routine that is warm, friendly, informal to a point but then entirely courteous and professional and this management led ethos can be found throughout the hotel so that although there is no dress code, for example, guests enjoy being part of a quality experience and interact accordingly. (Top examples of the Handpicked staff ethos are dining room supervisor Mathew and his colleague Stevie who other team members will do well to emulate.)

This hotel is set in beautiful countryside where walks are many and varied but at the same time has easy access to local towns and associated amenities. It is easy to reach from the M.1. and yet the peace is seldom disturbed by traffic or any other noise apart from sheep and birdlife. What is not to enjoy about that once in a while?

For a couple of days to recharge body, mind and spirit, Fawsley Hall Hotel will take a lot of beating. When in the area we will certainly return and we recommend it without hesitation.

Room Tip: There is no lift so ask for easy access rooms if you find stairs difficult.

Thank you. What amazing comments. I'm delighted that you have had such an excellent stay here at Fawsley Hall and found all aspects of the recent refurbishment programme to be so good.

As you experienced we are easily accessible by major transport links, but still set peacefully away amongst some of the most stunning local countryside, which provides the perfect base for exploring further a field.

I'm so pleased that you would recommend Fawsley to others, as this is exactly what myself and the team set out to achieve.

We hope to welcome you back very soon.

This is one of three hotels that I have stayed in that is part of the "Hand Picked Hotels" group, all of which are in beautifully restored historic country houses. This one has been refurbished recently to a very high standard and everything, including the excellent spa is brand new. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed, the staff are friendly and efficient and the restaurant serves delicious meals at reasonable prices. If you are in the area it is well worth a visit, if only for a bar snack.

Clean and bright with all mod cons but all the history too. Great food - came out the kitchen quickly, and amazing staff who can't do enough to help. Clean and warm spa facilities and lovely breakfast. My husband likes modern and I like historical, so it was great for both of us - finally something we agree on - we will be back!

Room Tip: we stayed in the south wing and it was very nice with a view over the lake.

I'm so pleased to read that you and your husband had such a wonderful stay here at Fawsley Hall.

It certainly is the perfect retreat and like you experienced retains it charm and history but provides our guests with the modern facilities expected of a four star red property.

I do hope you find the time to visit again soon, we look forward to welcoming you back.

We stayed after attending a wedding and got a good deal on Secret Escapes. We were also upgraded to a deluxe double room so got an even better bargain! The room was lovely, very large with tea and coffee facilities and even a separate coffee machine. The fridge was inside one of the bedside cabinets which is not labelled so it was by luck I found it, also the milk in there was 2 days old so was off, there was also two bottles of water included. The bed was large enough for 4 and very comfortable. Room price included full English breakfast which was one of the nicest I have had in a hotel. staff were very polite but is what I would expect in a hotel of this standard. Only really downside is the lack of sign directions to the hotel. Be warned don't expect to go and be able to follow signs as there is only one, and that is at the entrance to the country lane where the hotel is located. Do a bit of home work and check google maps before hand as you cant see the hotel until you literally arrive. There is also lack of signs from the car park to the reception area. so you may need to ask someone. All in all very impressed and even better if you can get a deal!.

We “discovered” Fawsley Hall last year quite by accident and it has already become our first choice “Go To” escape. After a few stressful months we were looking for somewhere to be able to relax, in pleasant surroundings and quite frankly to be spoiled. We had no need to look any further as Fawsley ticked all the boxes and exceeded our expectations on every level.

The property itself, set in open countryside and exceptionally peaceful, is amazing and the rooms are to the highest calibre be they the modern rooms in the Spa or the traditional rooms in the main building (we have stayed in both). The recently refurbished Great Hall will almost certainly take your breath away.

The Bar and Dining areas are both atmospheric and the wide choice of meals prepared to an exceptionally high standard, be it a bar snack or a three course meal

But what really makes Fawsley special is the Staff. They exude passion and nothing is too much trouble. They are without exception all courteous and try to ensure that every guest receives an experience to remember. It would be wrong to spotlight particular individual members as, in our experience, the entire team were only too keen to help make our stay special. Customer Service par excellence.

This was our fourth visit to the Hall in less than a year and we have already pencilled in two more visits over thecoming months.

We cannot recommend the hotel highly enough. If you think our review is too good to be true we can only suggest you go to Fawsley and see for yourself. We're sure you won't be disappointed! We certainly weren't

Our children bought us a spa weekend for Xmas and we went last weekend. What a beautiful hotel. Our room was immaculate and very well furnished, everywhere was clean and well kept. The gardens were extremely well maintained so much so we joked about whether someone had done it all with scissors! Staff were helpful and polite and nothing was too much trouble for them. We both had a massage and made use of the spa facilities. The outdoor hydro pool was refreshing and lovely and warm. Dinner was served in a lovely restaurant authentically decorated and the service was first class. The food was delicious. couldn't fault it. What a lovely relaxing weekend - highly recommended!
