The best guesthouse we have ever stayed in. Room was very comfortable and well appointed. Lots of nice touches such as the sherry and chocs. Breakfast was superb. Well presented and expertly cooked. Gary and Lindsay were ideal hosts.

Booked both king sized rooms which were lovely, good size and well equipped with comfy seating, storage, tea/coffee, toiletries, manicure set, hair dryer and even hand cream! Residents lounge available downstairs. Gary and Lindsay very welcoming and helped with luggage before providing us with welcome refreshments along with the sherry and chocolates in our rooms. Richmond is a great place to stay, even in winter, with shops and many local attractions nearby. On our hosts recommendation we ate at The Turf, great pub food, and at Rustique, French Bistro, both of which were great value and quality meals and were within 5 minutes walk. Breakfast was fab, definitely didn't need lunch! Think we will be back in the summer to explore more of Richmond and the local area.

We had a wonderful stay at the Rosedale last October - the rooms are beautifully appointed and Gary and Lindsay couldn't do enough for us. Would highly recommend this Guest House and we are going back with all our friends in November 2013, as it was so good. Very central as well to Richmond Town Centre.

A friend of ours booked the Rosedale for us as we were visiting her in Richmond.
On arrival our lovely hostess showed us to a spotless and very comfortable room. She then made us some delicious toasted tea cakes. ...yum.
Breakfast was very tasty and a wide range of extras made me wish I had brought my normal hearty appetite with me.
All in all I can truthfully say that this is the best ever Guest House I have stayed in. A credit to Yorkshire and the English Tourist Board.

I have stayed here three times now. Both inside the house and in the courtyard accomodation the conditions were very clean, warm, furnished to a very high standard and the proprietors, Gary and Lindsay, were both as lovely as ever, prividing us with all the knowledge of the local area, aswell as leaving a local history book in our room.

Really appreciated the little touches in the room i.e. the sherry, chocolates, tea and biscuits.

It warrants all five stars, and I'll see you soon again. Have recommended to family and friends.

My husband and I have stayed at Rosedale twice a year for a number of years now and have found it to be one of the best, Lindsay and Gary the proprietors are alway most welcoming, with a teacake and drink on our arrival, and the bags carried to our room. There is always a chocolate and sherry, as an apreatife, before we go for our evening meal in any number of good restaurants recommended by them. All of which are within walking distance. The rooms are beautifully appointed, with georgeous bedding, and of course everything is spotlessly clean. We have also on occasion stayed in the 'annexe' and found it most acceptable, across from the main house via a courtyard filled with tubs of flowers, unusual metal artwork on the walls and also a water feature. All very tasteful. We would recommend this Guest House to anybody. Edna & John W

Where do I start?!!!! Lovely room in the pretty outside courtyard, warm & cosy. Teacakes and tea on arrival & sherry in the room, little touches that were greatly appreciated. Really lovely hosts, very pleasant and so accommodating. Breakfast, wow!!! Well worth the breakfast award hanging in the dining room! Will most definitely return, thank you for a lovely few days
