“Lovely location, Excellent food and great service ,WOW !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2014

Visited Bank holiday Monday the cafe was exceptionally busy,we were warmly greeted by friendly
staff and found a table outside. Our meals arrived speedily given that the cafe was packed with eager diners both inside and outside on the patio area. The scampi and chips were exceptional,
both Golden and crisp and served piping hot accompanied by peas. The childrens meal options were plentiful, of good quality and included drinks. The meals were exceptionally good value for money. We finished with coffees which were again of good quality. The children finished off
with wonderful ice creams, the turkish delight was un-believably good !! We look forward to returning soon..a real Gem!

“Pleasant little cafe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2014

The food is quite good and it has a pleasant atmosphere about it and a friendly dog that inspects all customers. My only criticism is that when I have walked down to the riverside for a coffee on two occasions I have found them shutting up shop even though there were people expecting to be able to get a coffee. It was, after all, just before 3 O' Clock. Quite disappointing after a long walk down to the river.

“Very welcoming, portions good size and would recommend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2014

My friend and I visited this café yesterday and the staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome with our 2 children (one 3 and one 6). The food was very tasty and good value set in a lovely central location opposite the river. There are outside tables for when the sun is out and we enjoyed it - thanks

“Good food and great service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2014

This is the third time we have visited this cafe since the new year and have always been given a cheerful welcome. The service is friendly and prompt with nothing being too much trouble. The food is really tasty with the homemade cakes and scones being particularly delicious. I had the lemon cake on the last visit. It was straight from the oven and was a scrummy!!! Plenty of seating outside and the views of the river are great. Will definitely return.

“Wonderful Gesture”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2014

Recently when down by the riverside here in Knaresborough, we were going to take our grandson for his usual treat of ice cream, unfortunately as it was wintertime and late afternoon, the cafe had started to close and put the "Closed" sign outside, however, the owner, whilst clearing the tables and umbrellas heard us explain to our grandson that he couldn't have his ice cream, so he opened the cafe door and asked one of the staff to serve us so as not to disappoint a young customer. I would like to say thank you, the ice cream treat was enjoyed and it was nice to see a business offering good customer service and care, we have always used this cafe at the riverside and will continue to do so, once again "Thank you" and well done.
