5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

I have traveled the world and our room was best ever..The bed was a massive four poster. The bathroom was out of this world with a view to die for . I don,t want to say too much as to spoil it..Book the bridal suite and be truly amazed ..Can.t wait to go back.

p.s. The food is so good I can,t even put it into words.

Room Tip: Go to the bridal suite but I expect all are good

I am on my last day staying in what I think is the best combination between modern day luxury and old world charm and service. Goldsborough Hall is in a beautiful location just a short distance from York and Harrogate and the Hall itself is like stepping into the past without losing the convenience of modern day luxuries. Clare and Richard have obviously put a lot of thought into the extra touches that make the stay personal, from the welcome card and flowers to the fruit and biscuits. They have managed the balance between welcoming you into their home as a friend and extending the courtesies and service you would expect from any 5 star hotel worldwide. I would recommend this place to anyone that would like a relaxed stay in a fabulous and friendly (stately!) home.

Room Tip: All rooms are amazing!!

Just back from our second visit to Goldsborough hall. This time we stayed in the Hutton suite, a beautiful room with ENORMOUS bath! Great for relaxing in. The room has a 8ft four poster bed which is beautiful and very comfortable. The sofa and chairs in the room were also very comfortable.

This is the type of place that really focuses on the little details that make such a difference, fresh milk in the mini bar, homemade biscuits, fresh flowers and fruit all complementary.

We had a light meal from the room service menu which was very nice, and breakfast was lovely with a great selection.

All in all a great place for a romantic getaway, very luxurious, and perfectly situated for visiting many local attractions.

Firstly this was a last minute booking as we were let down by previous hotel, my husband came across this amazing place just by chance ,wow we are so glad he did !forget 5*this place is 10* and the staff can not do enough for you (John)was so polite and helful and attended to any requirements and recommendations .
The suite (Hutton) is out this work and as for the 4person bath super to relax and unwind , get totally lost in luxury as you do in the 8ft bed .
It may sound an exadration but this place is amazing !!!
Only problem with this review is your now want to try yourself well you should ,but then that leaves it difficult to book in the futur ,so although I've had to spread the word about this fantastic location it's only for those that will appreciate real indulgence ;-)

Room Tip: Hutton suite perfect but I can imagine all rooms good, excellent

Spent two wonderful nights at Goldsborough at the beginning of August as a special birthday treat. Stayed in the Olglesby suite and it was fantastic. Everything you could ask for and more. The bed was enormous and the suite itself very spacious. The staff were absolutely wonderful as well, especially the lady on reception and the night manager..lovely people who couldn't do enough. We didn't eat at the hotel but there are several great places to eat locally, we tried the Royal Oak at staveley, which was really great; and then the Old Siam in York the next evening. Had the most wonderful weekend, very special. Plotting to go back as soon as possible :-)

We only stated for the 1 night and wished it was for longer, wonderful service, fantastic food, stunning suite that we stayed in. This Hall is delight and we will be visiting again very soon for a longer stay next time.
