The food is excellent, the ingredients never cheap and the presentation and level of service is awesome. Deliveries are always timely and the food is still hot when you receive it.

This restaurant is in my top 5 ever.

“DO NOT GET A DELIVERY....”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

Having finally placed my order at 8pm as they don't take cards over the phone, the food was deliver at roughly 10.30pm. What a joke, 2 and half hours for a meal for 4. I spoke to the restaurant who didn't see there was a problem, a £50 meal for 4 is a "big order" they told me hence the delay after the first how hour.. and i could expect my food after 1.5 hours. It still didn't arrive and they just couldn't careless. I used the Justeat website which means as they get paid regardless of service, you probably get put to the bottom of the pile.

In addition the food was mediocre, luke warm with some dishes looking like they'd been kicked through a hedge. Oh, and there were some smaller items missing, a nan bread and 2 mint and 2 onion salads if memory serves me correctly. AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

“Rude and unhelpful”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

Being a local in Waltham and liking a curry i thought i would take the restaurant up on their recent offer in a paper of 2 for 1. I went in and there were 2 tables free, on asking for a table for 2 i was being shown to one until i mentioned the vouchers, i was then told there were no free tables. When i said so you are refusing your offer i was told you have to phone and book like it says on ticket, so ok i said getting my phone out , i will call you now and book that table you were just showing me too. No you cannot have a table we were told with the voucher.
Very rude indeed and we left and went to our normal one in Waltham.
Big mistake for the loss of trade for the sake of a few quid!!!

“Fabulous food, service and pretty amazing experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013

Mumbai Blues is not what you expect from an average Indian restaurant, probably because its better than average - much better than average.

For a little village restaurant established in what was once the Halifax building society in Waltham, Mumbai Blues is nothing short of exquisite. The furnishings and atmosphere is subtle yet opulent - the customer service is second to none and the menu is simply delectable with something for all tastes. Genuine, authentic Indian cuisine at its very best and impeccably presented too and all at a very reasonable price.

Not at all run of the mill, but offering some traditional Indian classics, Mumbai Blues is a must for all fans of Indian food whether just visiting or a local resident of the area.
