“Fish & Chips never disappoints”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

I've been coming here for years and you can't beat the chippy tea. Lovely succulent portions of fish in a crispy batter and if you ask for the hand cut chips - they are yummy. Friendly service, with a good choice on the menu and specials.

“Fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013 via mobile

The Traders is fortunately within walking distance. The food and beer is excellent. Would be brilliant if we could take the dog in the beer garden as usually we have him with us if we're out for a walk.Well worth a visit though.

“Good Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

A good village pub, staff are friendly and the menu has something for everyone. The daily board is always interesting, the food tasty and hot and I believe the beer is good too.

“Good food, reasonably priced lacks atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013 via mobile

On Easter Monday we decided to pop locally for tea, was surprised at how quite the place was. However was served very quickly, the food was really good not had a bad meal yet.

However we do find the pub to be too brightly lit and lacks ambience. Could do with subdued lighting and nice music in the background.

It wont stop us from revisiting as we do enjoy the food

“Lovely food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

When arrived there was 3 girls behind the bar, one (long dark hair) serving other customers was very friendly and polite however the other two did not say anything and just stood and watched us wait for the other girl to serve us. Another couple walked in and had obviously never been before as they ere unsure on wether to just take menus and sit down...again there was no welcoming and they walked out. We were close to walk out as we felt ignored when the two girls were doing nothing but watching us.
If we were instantly welcomed and given menus instead of walking in and presuming we get a menu (there was three different ones-one saying the wrong date so we were unsure wether we could use that one) then our experience would have been perfect.
When we got our food which did not take long to arrive it was very good, well recommend this lovely pub but waitresses need to be much more welcoming, as it was very awkward. It let our impression of the pub down-the delicious food however has made us want to return again soon.
I have to stress that there was one very lovely girl behind the bar and to try a meal at the traders. This review is more for the pub to read to help them improve.
