“Seafront hotel refurbished”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

We stayed at the hotel for a 1 night stopover. The hotel commands a prime position on the promenade, it has a magnificent frontage and is stone built.
Our room was clean, spacious and well serviced. Theres 2 places to eat - the bar area and the restaurant. Both were reasonably priced and welcoming.

We attended a private function held in one of the banqueting suites (which I can recommend) We had a pre-arranged set meal, which was very good. All the meats and vegetables were fresh, as opposed to frozen and were delicious!

each suite had its own bar/barpersons which mant that you didnt have to wander down the corridor for your drinks.... My only reserve was a comment from one of the barmaids at the main bar area. I asked for a pint of John Smiths bitter - her sarcastic reply was "Dont they have a bar in your suite" I answered "Yes, but they dont have John Smiths Bitter"
To be honest, I dont think that paying guests should be spoken to in that sarcastic way. But MOST of the staff were pleasant and polite, so 9/10 aint bad.

Breakfast was good and more importantly, it was Hot! Theres a good selection too.
I would stay at the hotel again if I was ever in Fleetwood

Room Tip: There are 3 suites in the hotel - the rooms are HUGE, well worth the extra money

Although we are local to Fleetwood from time to time we have held special events, like our wedding years ago, and "big birthdays" like my husbands 50th and only last week his 60th birthday party, on most of these occasions we have also taken advatage of stopping overnight in one of the hotel's suites.
So, over the years we have seen changes and we are really happy to say that recently there have been a lot of changes with great improvement to the service, quality of food and general customer care.
Steven, the General Manager is absolutly fantastic and cannot do enough to help and please the customers, supported by an excellent team of staff.
We hired the ballroom for this function and when ready it's beautiful and stylish, everything looked perfect, crispy white tablecloths, fantastic live music and the kitchen staff excelled themselves is serving a mixture of hot and cold buffet. Many of our guests complimented us on the choice and quality of food, which it was good for us to hear as it all makes a good night.
In the morning there was an excellent choice of breakfast and the service was not rushed either, particularly after a night of socialising everyboby needed to wake up gently..
Regarding the room, it was one positioned in the front of the hotel, lovely and spaceous, but if I was to be a little critical I would have liked to have brighter lights to put make up and dress, including having a full length mirrow and because it was a large suite the top item for me it would have been a little fridge and safe.
Altogether, a great venue, lots to do and see around in Fleetwood and you will not be dissapointed and if for any reason you are not happy with something at the North Euston, please ask as the staff are very willing to help and rectify anything. Great place, great people, just forgot to say that beside our celebrations we have been to many other over the years.

Room Tip: The rooms at the front of the hotel have great views of the sea and distant hills.

We stayed at the hotel with elderly relatives after seeing the illuminations but not wanting to stay in Blackpool. We made the choice afterr eading reviews and we were not diaappointed. We booked a twin and a double room and paid extra for sea views. The twin room was number 68, it was a large room with twin beds (which were very comfortable) and a large comfortable settee. As well as having duvets on the beds there was extra bedding available, also a fan and an extra heater to cope with all evantualities of the British Climate.Neither were needed on this occasion as the central heating was sufficient. The bathroom was the largest that I have ever seen in a UK hotel .It had a bath, a shower in the bath and plenty of storage space. It was also extremely clean , as was the bedroom. The breakfast was of a high standard with a good choice. All the staff that we met were friendly and welcoming. There is a lift which is very small but a new larger more modern one is being put in, and should be ready by the end of the year I would definately stay here again if going to the market or the freeport or just wanted a quiet break. The tram stop is situated near the hotel and now has new modern trams that go to Blackpool, this means that the car can be left in the carpark and you can still get about to see the local attractions.

Room Tip: Pay extra for a sea view , and if wanting a twin Room 68 is ideal.

We booked an overnight stay when we visited friends in Fleetwood.

We were very pleased with the standard of the refurbished room that we had requested. The decor was modern; the room was spacious and very clean, with all the usual fixtures and a comfortable king sized bed; the bathroom, with a walk in shower, was beautiful and the sea view was lovely. The full English breakfast was freshly made and generous.

As it was very competatively priced, we intend to use this hotel again.

Room Tip: Ask for a refurbished room.

Called in for midweek lunch, £15 for two excluding drinks. The fish and chips were excellent,
surely they had to be in Fleetwood !! and the tuna melt ciabatta with chips was very good.
Free salad bar was available and the rice and peppers were dressed well.
The Hotel seems to be under an ongoing refurb but the staff overcame that difficulty and
were attentive and polite.
We look forward to visits in the future.

We visited on 14/10/12. Our food order was jacket potato with beans and cheese £5.20,and pate. £4.20 When it came there was the smallest jacket potato you have ever seen,so much so I sent it back, they brought another it was a big new potato with the filling, talk about portion control, for that kind of money you expect a decent size of potato. The pate came with 4 triangles of toasted bread you needed a magnifying glass to see it, the pate was so strong, it was unpleasant and could only eat half of it. The tea was fine the coffee was a black one and it came in a teacup size and was £1.50, our bill was nearly £14.00. I expected good food for that much, def not be going again.

This Victorian hotel is comfortable and warm although the old Victorian dining room has been upgraded for the worse in my opinion. The food is very good and bedrooms comfortable. Fleetwood is a fine location for visiting Blackpool by Tram or the lakes by car, there is entertainment some nights and even a big swing band at the end of each month. All in all a good experiance.
