“Its all about the food....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2013

You will always get one or two trying to find fault, try to ignore them, overall the reviews say it all.
Reasonable prices, great food and portions, but freshly made so you wont get served in seconds like the fast food joints.
Lancashire hot pot is proper Lancs grub, and lets be honest, how many times can you say you have eaten in a pub dating back to 995AD?
Beer garden shut for winter, but imagine eating outside with the river flowing by in the summer, after a walk in the countryside, having a pint of real ale to wash down your food?

“Wonderfull wedding in Limbrick”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

Absolutely lovely pub, great for a small intimate wedding. The staff couldn't do enough for us and we had a great day. Even closed the pub of for as long as we wanted, this was an unexpected bonus as we thought we would just have part of the pub. Food was fab and the real ale went down a treat, and the champagne kept coming.

“What a Lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2013

Dropped in "The Black Horse" to catch up with a family friend. The Owner, Micheal was very attentive and the meal was prepared by a fantastic Chef, Dan. The meal was first rate. To match the ambiance of the place.
Could not find a fault in the service, Food or decore.
If you are looking for award winning food at pub prices, look no futher.

Thanks Guys.

“just about ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

food was ok, although one of our party found his dinner was cold. Service rather slow and a bit chaotic if you don't know beforehand their procedure for ordering! ie when we asked why the waitress had not come to take our order we were told we should have ordered at the bar, but the notice indicating this was covered up!!
