“Fantastic find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Beautiful hotel in and beautiful setting. Our room (no 2) was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The bathroom had a walk in shower which was great. We ate dinner in the restaurant and the food was fantastic and lovely views! I had rump of lamb and my husband had beef fillet, both were cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth. Breakfast the next morning was again really good and rather generous portions! Would definitely go back.

On Tuesday this week we had a meal for 23 of our members at the Hotel. We were given one of the 2 restaurants for our sole use and the arrangement and the setting of the tables were perfect (with, of course, the superb view over the gardens and the sea from the full length windows).

We had discussed and agreed the menu, with 3 choices for each course, some time before with Mark , the chef, and the food was presented and served impeccably, with a wide range of great flavours. Feedback from our members was excellent.

Throughout, nothing has been too much trouble for Toni , the manager, and his staff, and the evening was a great success.

This is a delightful place to stay in the Whitstable area and we look forward to returning and also trying the other Crescent hotel in Margate.

It has a great location on a hill with lovely views of the Medway and Thames estuaries. Although it's not in the centre of town, it's easy to get into Whitstable and the hotel is close to major roads.

The rooms aren't large but have everything you need. They are recently renovated and perfectly comfortable. Our bathroom was on the small side but it worked. Wifi is free in the room and in the common areas.

There is a small dining room. Although we didn't eat dinner, breakfast service was speedy and cheerful with good selection. There's no bar as such but drinks are served in the lounge and we enjoyed relaxing there after our day's travel. The staff were consistently friendly and welcoming.

Room Tip: Pick a room with a sea view even if it costs more

We have just returned from a one-night stay, which was organised as a surprise for my wife. The hotel staff ensured the secret was kept until all the family surprised her in our room.

The hotel was fantastic, and provides superb views out to the sea. The weather was beautiful, so we sat outside most of the afternoon and then dined in the restaurant in the evening. The food was excellent, and the service was also outstanding! I would certainly recommend eating there. Breakfast was also great, with a choice of hot/cold options.

We stayed in a deluxe room, which was very spacious and offered a great sea view. It is worth paying extra for this. Overall I would i would definitely recommend this hotel if visiting the area.

Room Tip: Deluxe room was great!

Our room for our two night stay, over the Easter weekend, was no. 9. This is one of the two smaller rooms and was at the front of the hotel and thus not offering the views which other reviewers mention. If space and the views really do matter to you then this room is definitely not for you. But if you value comfort, cleanliness, friendly and efficient staff as well as excellent food then you'll not be disappointed. We might well have enjoyed more space around the bed as it was a bit tight, but the bed WAS very comfortable. The bathroom, though tiny, was nevertheless lovely; the shower excellent as it reached optimum temperature almost immediately and there were two shower heads.
Breakfast was delicious - food cooked to order and no problem when we strayed slightly from the menu in our choices. The one evening meal we had was excellent quality and we felt value for money. Everything cooked to perfection and some very interesting combinations in flavours and ingredients in some dishes.
Staff were really friendly and helpful and generally the atmosphere of the hotel was extremely relaxed and friendly - I would echo the comment by SwindonWiltsMike though re the inconsistency of service at breakfast - but put this down to staff still learning.
A nice touch on Easter Sunday morning was an Easter egg trail set out in the garden for children who were both staying in the hotel and visiting for lunch.
Final point - possibly due to the age and structure of the building noise did seem to travel. We could clearly hear people chatting as they came up the nearby stairs to adjacent rooms and we could hear the staff in the kitchen below us. However the building was quiet by 11:00 pm. and we were not really disturbed. A light sleeper may have problems in the morning.

Just one night in this hotel, too short. We paid a little extra for a deluxe room overlooking the sea, well worth it. Good dinner, great breakfast and friendly staff.
Would certainly go back. Recently refurbished so modern decor which is what we like.

Room Tip: for just two room 003 on the ground floor is light, airy and spacious.

We have just returned from a great stay at The Crescent Turner Hotel. The room was spacious, breakfast was great and the food choice was amazing, we dined at the restaurant on one of our evenings and our food and wine were delicious. We walked from the Hotel into Whitstable in about 20 minutes and found the Hotel extremely helpful in booking taxis or helping with other guest needs.
We wanted to mention Sam, during our stay she showed hospitality that you do not often see these days, from the moment we checked in with her warm welcome to the moment we left she made us feel very at home and delivered above beyond service to make us feel at home. Sam, you were great!

Gina and Paul / Room 2

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 2 which was separate to the main hotel which was nice and quiet.

The Crescent Turner, Whitstable, is a stylish, 18-bedroom boutique hotel, set high up on Wraik Hill, overlooking the Kent coast. It has panoramic views of the sea and gorgeous surrounding countryside. Whitstable is a family-orientated but fashionable seaside town - famous for its beach huts, Oyster Festival and quaint harbour. There are quirky, independent shops and galleries, Whitstable Castle and an increasingly popular arts festival - the Whitstable Biennale. The Crescent Turner has individually designed bedrooms, a restaurant, bar, terrace area, gardens and - very importantly - its own Beach Hut on Whitstable beach, which guests may reserve. Bedrooms are spacious and light, many with sea views. Head down to Whitstable for a family break or a romantic getaway. You'll love the subtle decor of this newly remodelled boutique hotel - less than two hours from central London.
