This was my second visit to this Bistro, previously I had enjoyed coffee and cakes but dropped by this time for lunch with my family. The restaurant itself is very pleasant, well designed and clean and bright. The staff are friendly, but the food was sadly nothing to write home about, plus it was over priced. We paid over 6 pounds each for baguettes which were small and thin and the brie was tasteless. I make better sandwiches at home with tastier ingredients. In addition, one can purchase far better food in the local area for far less, for this price, the food should have been far more special. Service was slow and our bacon was stone cold the first time. The staff were apologetic about the bacon, but let us wait for some time for the mistake to be remedied without the offer of further drinks or anything. My sister was in a bit of a hurry, so once we got our food hot, it was not a relaxing experience for her. Drinks too were on the expensive side and my soft drink was basically only half a glass full for which I was charged over 2 pounds. Overall we were all rather disappointed with our experience at the Bistro and certainly do not feel encouraged to make further trips there despite it being so nearby.
