“High class And charming”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013

A really delightful B&B with charming and attentive hosts where very detail has been thought about. The care and attention to detail would put most hotels to shame. From tea on arrival in the lovely garden to a superb breakfast in the conservatory, it was a most enjoyable experience. Having stayed before in Sandwich in the main hotel in the town, this was a far better buy. When we return to Sandwich, we will stay here again.

Stayed for two nights in lilac room. Room was small, but adequate for a short stay. Private bathroom next door was very nice. Would have preferred en suite but we never met anybody on our way to the bathroom and robes were provided. Breakfast in the conservatory was very pleasant and we were lucky enough to share the table with interesting people both mornings. The only down side is that it is a little way out of the centre of sandwich but other than that we had no complaints and enjoyed our stay.

We only stayed for one night, but would highly recommend this B&B. I can quite see why it has won various awards. As many other reviews here say, Gill was very welcoming - and completely unfazed by us calling out of the blue at 5pm to see if she had a room available. The house is conveniently sited, and Gill has thought of everything that one might want - including a pot of tea when we arrived, an excellent breakfast the next morning. We will return!

Had a wondereful overnight say at this lovely bed & breakfast. Gill & Ian are perfect hosts and nothing is too much trouble. They make you very welcome from the start and you feel like one of the family. Their family dog Hugo is really friendly and loves to play all the time!
The only downside was we didn't stay long enough but hopefully will return in the not too distant future

We would definitely stay here again. The owners are very friendly and the service is fantastic. The rooms are cozy and the private bathroom is really good. There are bath robes to use as the doors are next to each other in the corridor. That was not a problem for us.
The location is good, it is only a short walk both to the railway station and to the centre of Sandwich.

Do visit Gillians shop "Lady Elegance" in Sandwich. Designer shoes and hats. I love hats and got the most stunning in my collection so far. :-)
