“Very friendly and helpful team. Excellent breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

Comfortable and clean room. Met our expectations. Very convenient for the main beach, Old Town and the Turner Contemporary. I really liked the wardrobe/vanity unit in the room. Highly recommended. I needed to iron some clothes. Reception provided a good quality iron and ironing board.

Had a lovely stay in a family room. The room was nice, the TV massive with all the freeview channels but was very, very warm. There was a fan supplied which only helped a little as it was basically circulating already warm air. We had to have it on all night and it was noisy so none of us slept particularly well.

The hotel is very well located, the beautiful sandy beach is just opposite and is great for kids. There is a free car park which had plenty of space.

We ate at adjoining Brewers Fare. If you have kids this really is the place to go, there is an outside play area and for £2 an inside Play Factory which was brilliant, the staff were great, all of them.

I really hope that Premier Inn sort out some air conditioning as it really was the only thing that spoilt our stay.

very good hotel, excellent staff all very helpful and friendly, near beach, food in the hotel very good. Room has all you need, a very good stay, weather wasn't that good so not to warm in the room but fans were provided if it had been. Next to train station so easy access, although does have car parking facilities.

Room Tip: we asked for a quiet room and were given a sea view room which was quiet.

We stayed here on 22nd August, which was a pretty cool/wet day, but our room was still so unbearably hot and stuffy that we all had an AWFUL night's sleep. There was a fan in the room, but this was really quite ineffective and also noisy, which just added to the problems sleeping.

The rooms are apparently insulated/double-glazed to deal with noise and this must have worked as we didn't have any problem with noise at all, but it must contribute to how airless the room felt. These rooms desperately need the air conditioning that we naively assumed was standard in all Premier Inns, having stayed in one with a wonderful air cooling system in Wales before.

We were on the second (top) floor, so this may have contributed to the heat.

The woman on Reception when we left was very good about it and offered us our money back under the good night's sleep guarantee, which was both unexpected and greatly appreciated, but really we'd have preferred a good night's sleep before our busy day :(

Room Tip: Room 45 was quiet, but extremely hot/stuffy...and it hadn't even been a hot day!

I stayed with my family in mid August 2013 and although the temperature outside was a very reasonable 20 degrees the room was stuffy and hot the 2 nights we were there. The fan was obviously to aid the situation but I can't sleep with a fan buzzing away all night, and the windows would only open about 5 inches. The heater /cooler was not designed to cool (according to a note next to it ) and the batteries had been removed anyway. What on earth it would have been like during a heatwave I hate to think. My partner decided that as it was too hot too sleep he might as well spend the night in our car in the car park which he did. Whether this is a fault with the rooms on the 2nd (top) floor, I don't know. We also spent a night at the Ramsgate premier on this trip and their room cooling system worked fine. I have stayed at lots of premier inns and this was the worst in terms of heat and therefore SLEEP.

Room Tip: Ask for sea view/ car park view ! If its hot try ground /1st floor

The hotel was very nice, parking , food and the beach were very close.

We kept getting bitten by something but have out that down to midges we hope. Overall good stay but bit expensive for a budget hotel.

We took our 7 mth baby and he was very happy with the baby cot.

This is a refurbished hotel on the sea front in Margate.
Reception was friendly but the room on the second floor was far too hot. The windows would only open a fraction and the fan was ineffective. We asked to change but were told the hotel was full. The room was good but completely spoilt by the extremely uncomfortable heat. The Brewers Fayre next door was shabby and not too clean. Breakfast was very basic.
It is right next to a railway station but the trains did not bother us. The heat did.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are the best but you have no choice if you pre book.
