This place is a really cosy place to go, especially with friends, and especially when there is live music on, which there frequently is. It's a rough and ready converted old building, with sawdust on the floor, barrels for tables, and a massive open log fire in the rear section. There is always a selection of excellent real ales, all served direct from the barrel, and beautifully kept, and the "wall of cider" is to be marvelled at...literally a wall made up of ciders in boxes with taps fitted for dispensing. There is food on offer too, which always loooks good, though I haven't sampled it yet. I have been to this place many times, both as a performer and as a drinker, and doubtlessly will visit many more times. A lively, fun place to go.
