“i loved the mad hatter experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2012

It was a quirky lovely litle place with lots of wonderful things to see the food was lovely especially the mad hatters champagne tea, the cakes are amazing all mad by the mad hatter himself , he himself is very eccentric and i loved it , expect difference than any other place you been to and enjoy the surroundings but definately order the cake!

“Quirky more about the experience than the food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2012

We sat in the garden and had tea and cakes on a lovely summer afternoon surrounded by bunting and xmas decorations. The tea and cake were fine neither fab nor terrible. One of those places where I'm glad i visited for the experience but probably wouldn't return.

“Disappointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2012

The interior is undoubtedly very good fun, and there is a huge potential here for a truly wonderful tearoom but unfortunately the food was bad quality as well as ridiculously over priced, the service was very slow and the owner is undoubtedly a character but there was an air of sadness and the same anecdotes being told to every table.

“Quirky, quaint, friendly, fun and great for tea”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2012

It's undeniably surreal to see the Mad Hatter hoovering a Christmas tree, especially in February, but if you think it's charming, this is definitely the tea room for you. A bizarre mix of Victoriana, royal memorabilia and yes, Christmas decorations, make this a unique experience. Service by the Mad Hatter himself, and Mrs Mad Hatter(?) is friendly and attentive and the cakes and hot chocolates are lovely. If you forget to take a look at the 19th Century toilets, you'll be prompted. Prices are very reasonable. In London this would be a find. In Margate, it's a godsend.

“Awful dirty and rotten lettuce.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2012

Generally insane. Food poor quality very slow and not worth the wait. Sad as wanted it to be mad but fun but it failed.
