“Family friendly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2013 via mobile

Went on the all you can eat chicken day.
Decent food with a lot of choice and additional salad counter.
Food was good, keep going up and help yourself.
And an outside play area for kids.
Would go back

“ATTRACTED BY THE NAME!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

Interesting pub/restaurant - very, very busy - service was good - we had the 'deal' of the day, which was 'eat as much as you like - chicken' you paid at the bar, were given a ticket and could then help yourself to as much as you wanted, all sorts of chickedn to choose from, garlic bread etc.
Good value for money, but a bit too busy for our liking - felt a bit rushed and as though we had to hurry from our table.

“Much improved service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2013

After a previous visit to the Honourable Pilot, with very poor service,I was reluctant to try again. I am glad that I did. The service was much improved and the food was of a good standard and was great value for money. On the last visit, the standard of food and value was let down by the attitude of our waiter, who seemed at the least indifferent.

“Busy pub”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2013

I ate here on the curry night and the morning after for breakfast as part of my stay at the next door Premier Inn. The pub was very busy on the curry night, service at the bar took a few mins longer than i expected, however when i sat down at a table, i got table service and had good service then. I ate the eat as much as you can curry, there were about 5 different curries to choose from including a veggie option, there was also naan breads and popadoms to choose from with rice, you really can keep going back for more although i found 2 plates was enough, curries were very tasty and chicken seemed good quality and at £6.99 it is good value. I also ate there for breakfast which was booked through the premier inn as a eat as much as you like breakfast, i ate at 8.30 in the morning and assume the best time to go for breakfast is probably 7-7.30 as the food seemed just warm but not any hotter than that, is also looked like it had been sitting in the dishes for a while. the choice is good though, there were crumpets, toast, cereal, fruit, croissants , full english as well as fruit juices.and muffins. If i stayed and again and had breakfast i'd probably try and get down earlier to see if the food was hotter and fresher, apart from that it was good.
