“Classic feel with the very latest in screening technology.”

Talk about character! This is the place to come. Staff are charming, the film club is great. Thank goodness these guys rescued this place all those years ago because this is a gem.

“The best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

This is a gem of a cinema and a fantastic cinema experience. When you approach the front door you are welcomed by the manager opening the door for you with a smile - the ticket sales are from a uniformed attendant, again who is very welcoming. There is only one screen so the auditorium is relatively large but it is warm and comfortable. As this is an old cinema there is interesting plaster animals and fine decoration which makes it even more of a pleasure to go to. On the way out you are thanked for coming.

“Royal Cinema Faversham”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

I'm delighted that I am able to have 'The Royal' as my local cinema. A lovely interior from another age. Independently run so I'm very happy to support it. No long drive to some Multiplex just an old fashioned local cinema. It would be so nice if it had a hearing loop put in but luckily there is a film club every fortnight on a Monday evening and one is often able to see very good films that have subtitles. Places and businesses like this should be supported.

“You can keep your multi-plexes!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

A wonderful, quirky, atmospheric independent cinema. Very reasonable prices. There is a flat price for tickets (same for adults and kids) of between £4 and £5. Popcorn, drinks etc are very reasonably priced especially when compared with the big chains We love it!

“Local Flicks”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

I love going here because I can walk there and once there you often find you see some one in the audience you know so it makes it feel very friendly sort of place. It is very quaint but homely and the staff are lovely. The sound might not always be brilliant but it never spoils films and doesn't stop me from watching films there.
