“Shame...”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2013 via mobile

Lovely location with so much potential. Unfortunatly wasted on jasins. The food is mediocre and coffee weak. Get a grip deal and let a decent place move in.

“Ordinary but good food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013

The pier restaurant, is ordinary, but the food is good, the price is quite reasonable for the large portions.
The location offers very good views and the staff are very helpful.

Even though the food is good, i recommend just going for a tea or coffe, i was a bit disappointed

“what a shame...”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

only had coffee/ice-cream. had walked past the café a couple of times previously and couldn't find a table that had been cleared. same today, so we sat at a table that needed clearing. caught waitress's attention who then took 10 mins to come over (wasn't hugely busy), she took our order, cleared table (and spilt jug of milk over one of us), coffee arrived. latte indigestible, either the milk was off or it had been heated for too long. how difficult is it to serve a handful of coffees? the location on the end of the pier had reminded me of a cafe i visited in sweden location-wise. sadly, the staff/quality of what we experienced was nowhere near our swedish experience. we didn't sample any food, and sadly, we would not chance it. such a shame, as this has amazing views and when the sun is shining is a fantastic place to sit and enjoy a drink/bite to eat...

“Great views and good architecture, but new owner desperately needed”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

The location is absolutely fantastic, situated at the end of the last pier to be built in England. The architecture is minimalist and modern and will appeal to design aficionados. Unfortunately the people running this caf (restaurant is really too grand a word for this place) don't do justice to the views or the architecture. Food is mediocre and the staff are joyless, sloppy and slow. Deal Council would do its residents and visitors a great favour by ending the concession and handing this wonderful space to people who are passionate about food and customers. This space could be such a winner for Deal, unfortunately it is a let-down.

“Great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

Breakfasted here on August 4 with friends. Again the service was good and the breakfasts were presented well and tasted very good ( last visit June ). The place was busy but no issues with the speed of service. The toilets were cleaner than the last visit.......only negative is that they should better quality bread for toasting.......
