“A very good deal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2013

Sorry for the awful pun - couldn't resist it. Stayed here with a friend in October, en route to France. Very clean, warm and comfortable - so all the major boxes were ticked. I don't know about you, but I don't go to B&Bs expecting the latest in furniture, jacuzzis and fitness centres - I would go to an hotel if I wanted to spend my holiday indoors. All the furniture fittings and essentials (lights, shower, toilet) worked and were easy to figure out. We had a warm welcome and although our only request was for some more milk in the room, I got the impression that the owner was very thoughtful and attentive. An excellent full English breakfast the next morning, and I was ready for the ferry. Deal Castle is about 200 metres away, and the town centre about 400 metres. Highly recommended as a base for touring, or in combination with the Dover ferry (about 22 minutes away).

Very well situated B&B, very close to town centre, beach and castle. Room was spacious and well equiped with a useful mini fridge. Both of us found the mattress a bit uncomfortable which did affect our quality of sleep over the two nights we stayed. Breakfast was well cooked albeit of average quality.

Edmund House is a very clean, comfortable and cosy B&B. My room (4) was very comfortable and had everything I needed. The B&B is well positioned just a 5 minute walk to the beach and town centre. The staff and owner are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is plentiful with lovely filter coffee!

Room Tip: Room 4 is a nice quiet room

My wife and I stayed at the guest house and were made to feel very welcome from the moment we got there by a very nice man.
The rooms were clean and pleasant although the bathroom was a little dated but shower was powerful and hot.

What made our visit extra special was we needed to leave very early in the morning way before breakfast so the very nice man made us a super pack up to take on our journey.

All good, Thankyou

A lovely small BB well situated for town centre & sea front. It is clean & comfortable & the owner & staff most pleasant & helpful. We were made very welcome. This is our second year & will return again. Highly recommended. Busy road but caused no problems

Small B&B a few minutes walk from the sea front and Town. On a fairly quite back street. Very welcoming and friendly, Very clean and tidy. Good if not exceptional full English breakfast. Managed to park outside - but limited during the day. Car Parks near by.

This guest house is immaculate, the owner most helpful and the breakfast well cooked and tasty.
The only critisism I had was that there was no where in the shower to put the shower gel, but as printed notice from the manager said, the shower was going to be renovated. Try to get a room at the back of the house, as it is a busy road, but it didn't realy bother us

Room Tip: Get one at the back to avoid traffic noice
