“Lovely B&B in a great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2014

A lovely B&B with Andy and Prue being very welcoming, helpful and flexible without being too much.
We stayed for two nights and due to work, we kept some slightly unsociable hours, but they were both happy to accommodate us. The breakfast was great, especially the poached egg, and the location was perfect for a couple of garden tours as advised by Andy. The rooms were really clean and bright and you got fresh milk for your room tea and coffee which is always a bonus.
Thank you!

Thanks Prue and Andy for the hospitality. They gave excellent advices on traveling, dining and everything around the area. Breakfast was good, the rooms were clean and equipped with everything we need. will definitely go back when we visit the area again.

We stayed with Prue and Andrew whilst we were in the area on business and they were absolutely delightful. Despite the fact that we were sent very good directions we got lost and Andy stood in the rain under an umbrella till we found him and knew we had arrived! He also was the most amicable 'taxi' to and from dinner in local hotels each night which was way beyond the call of duty but very gratefully received. Rooms are spotlessy clean and toasty warm, and whilst not of the very latest design it really didn't matter as we felt so at home. Breakfast was great - home baked bread and anything you would like freshly cooked.

Prue really is the most wonderful lady, and we really felt as if we had made friends by the time we left ! Nothing is too much trouble for this couple and you will be made to feel very, very welcome. Will definately book again !

Prue and Andy not only have a clean and quaint old English home, they also have the most comfortable beds of all my travels in the area and a full delicious full English breakfast . Any one choosing this b&b will not be disappointed! Very knowledgable about the area too.

We spent a week enjoying Prue and Andrew's generous hospitality; from first contact to last goodbye they could not have been more charming and attentive, but in a very relaxed and unobtrusive way.
The rooms (we stayed extra days so moved to another room) were comfortable and typical of an older traditional building; simple, well thought out and unfussy. There was some occasional noise from the main road but not enought to disturb us or block out the bleating of sheep and clucking of hens from the farm next door.
Our hosts were a mine of information and Cranbrook is very well positioned for exploring Kent and East Sussex, the purpose of our trip. Bull Farm Oast's garden is exceptional- it was sometimes quite daunting to get through the clouds of butterflies along the garden path. We will definitely return.

Today, whilst in my white garden, I had a crystal clear string of memories from our visit to Andy and Prue 15 months ago. White Queen Anne's lace took me back to their garden, where Japanese anenomes grow like weeds!
Pale blue flowers reminded me of that lovely blue room upstairs and those idyllic days we spent there. I flinched, recalling how I had fallen asleep with chocolate in my hand!
Next morning, chocalate all over gorgeous sheets. I was distraught with embarrassment.

Andy grabbed the bedding, said- "Say no more about it!" and chucked them in the washing
machine. Love that place, adore those people, worship Lettie! Cate Smith

Room Tip: Just ask Andy- he will know what you need before you do. I saw all rooms there- and there was not on...
