Convenient to Sissinghurst Garden we tend to stop here for lunch and savour the delicious food and atmosphere.

“Wonderful Friday night dinner with friends”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2014

We booked for 8 but ended up being 15, yet they kindly accommodated us by swiftly setting up their back room with a long table.
Its such a quirky old pub, it was a delight to have dinner there. Low beams, candles on tables, roaring open fires and superb food.
The menu is extensive and everything looked delicious. My bangers and mash were some of the best I've had.
And they gave me a complementary champagne as it was my wedding celebration, what more could you ask for?! Excellent food and very friendly service, we'll be back!

“Great food, but frozen chips and fruit crumble without custard?”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2014 via mobile

Had a wonderful evening celebrating by birthday with my family. Fantastic venue with a great atmosphere and very attentive staff. Service and choice of food was excellent. Overall a very good place to eat. However two things which disappointed, the chips with my steak where frozen and, the biggest crime in my book, NO Custard with the crumble!!!! Despite this I would definitely recommend a visit.

“Very enjoyable but pricey gastropub”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2014

We’ve driven past the Three Chimneys many times and once or twice tried to call in for a drink on our way back from somewhere to find it closed. Having read mixed reviews about the restaurant, we took a chance and booked a table and were very pleased we did. Although a bit pricey for a pub; mains c£18; steak c£20; starters c£7; they offer an imaginative menu (for example figs and prosciutto for starter, guinea fowl for main, as well as the staples such as fish, steak, lamb, sausages. The menu was on a blackboard suggesting freshness of produce. We all enjoyed our meals very much. We were sat in the elegant conservatory which was kept at a good temperature. If it had been daylight, I think there would be views across the fields. The service was friendly and timely. We arrived early to have a drink in the bar before dinner. The core of the building is very old and full of character (real fires in every section of the place). So the bar area is small and dark with low ceilings and small windows. They had 3 ales on hand pump which suited the men in our party. There is a large car park and outside seating.

“So good, went back twice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2014

Usually, we go off to try other things. But when you've found gourmet perfection, with charming staff and lively guests, why would you go elsewhere? Locally sourced produce and lamb, cozy environment with Hops decorating the walls in tribute to the local agriculture.
