“Excellent B&B”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2012

A beautifully refurbished period house, about 5-6 mins walk from the start of the high street. A young, welcoming couple run it and have obviously put their hearts into it - our room was tastefully decorated & the biscuits most welcome after walking from Ryde. Really good breakfast - freshly cooked to order, using good quality ingredients, very accommodating when I asked for plain yoghurt & very strong fresh coffee. We'd thoroughly recommend this as a place to stay in Cowes, even though it is on the expensive side.

A very clean and attractive guest house with lovely hosts and very comfortable rooms. It is an old house which has been modernised very carefully so that all the old features, like fireplaces and skirting boards, are still there. An excellent breakfast and fantastic views. The walk back from Cowes, though, is a bit of a pull as it is up the hill. If you are moderately fit, though, it is really worth it

We spent one night here. Mark gave us a lovely welcome and showed us around. Our room was clean, light and airy, and the view from our room over the solent and estuary was to die for. Breakfast was just whatever we wanted - we were spoilt for choice and it was great to have local produce available. Thank you for a Great stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view if you like to watch the boats.

I spent two nights at the Caledon, Both Mark & his wife were very welcoming. The room was excellent. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice and also if you wanted something different it was not a problem.
If I visit again, this is where I would stay.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay in the Caledon Guest House on the Isle of Wight. We highly recommend this guest house to anyone visiting the Island. The rooms are spacious, modern and amazingly clean, and this trend is continued throughout the entire guesthouse. Andrea and Mark the owners are very helpful and friendly, and cook super breakfasts!!

My mother and I went to the Isle of Wight at the last minute and staed here over Easter. We could not have wanted a better place. We were welcomed like family and felt at home. There was tea in the room and the beds were so nice! There was a DVD lending which my mom and I used each night and the breakfast was AMAZING! The porridge was so good along with the local jams that are provided. There were Easter cupcakes left beside our beds with a small note which made us feel even more at home. The room was spacious and had lots of light filtering in! I woul love to come back again!

Thank you so much for the review.

So glad that you like our new Jams....they are made by a lovely couple in Newchurch on the Island and are amazing; Gooseberry and Elderflower is my favourite! The cupcakes were handmade by a lovely lady in Newport who delivers to us...you can order in advance for your next visit.

Hope to see you again soon

Have stayed here 2 years ago whilst studying on the Island. And went straight back there this time. It is a great BnB, a 5 minute walk from the fast ferry in Cowes. I stayed in the same room again, which was very spacious with a view over the rooftops onto the Solent, contemporary without being too modern or too classic, and exceptionally clean, and everything catered for in the room, tea making facilities, biscuits, hair dryer etc (my mum works in hotels! I know these things are important!). The bed was amazing and I slept better than at home. Breakfast is great if you want to treat yourself to something from the grill on pan. Mark and Andrea the owners are the perfect hosts and always happy to help. Will look forward to visiting again some time. Well done Mark and Andrea for the perfect balance of a BnB
