I have been here on several occasions and enjoyed the food. However, there is a new menu and I have tried two dishes from it, both of which were very disappointing. The first dish I tried was Salmon in a saffron sauce, with potatoes. The sauce arrived looking very yellow, it did not look very nice, plus there were so many boiled potatoes I could have started my own farm. The salmon, however, was very nice. Then, the second recent visit I ordered the Little Gem salad, which was advertised to contain, Buffalo Mozzarella, radishes, baby tomatoes, and Little Gem, with a drizzle of pesto. Seriously, I have never seen so much lettuce, I began to feel as a caterpillar must feel. It was dry too. Loads of it, seriously. I had to search for the Buffalo Mozzarella and when I found it, I got quite excited. I honestly thought I was going to seed when I came out and never knew lettuce could be so filling. It is served as a main dish. I would imagine this could be ordered and shared between 4 easily. I have never seen so much. And while here I may as well talk about the starter, which I have totally forgotten the name of but it was literally swimming in so much pesto sauce, it need a boat.
I usually have either the Salmon or the Goat's cheese salad which I have always enjoyed, but the new menu for me has been a big disappointment.
The staff are very friendly, but being told there is so much more to choose from when complaining is not really what one wants to hear when one has waded through a cabbage patch .
The overall atmosphere of the place is very nice though. I bit noisy, but generally a nice friendly place.
