Hi, having read previous reviews on these pages we decieded to pay a visit for a carvery as a treat for myself and my wife. Ok , as previous reports indicated, yes we experienced a long queue to pay for our meal. Then yes we had a long queue waiting at the carvery. Once we got our food, we really enjoyed it. Tasty, and fantastic value. We got a nice seat in the corner and it seemed all of the eating areas were open as far as we could see. Which was nice. A previous review had said this is not always the case. When we had finished our meal we moved into the bar for a drink. We had to wait quite a while to be served. Two young girls serving behind bar who seemed to be flitting between bar serving drinking customers and other connecting bar serving food customers. All made for a long wait for our drinks as there was already a couple of people waiting in front of us. When we did eventually get served , it would have been nice to have been greeted with a smile, a good evening or hello, can i help you, we got none of the above. Just a vacant stare. Although i do undestand she looked busy and stressed. beer and wine prices are very good value and we enjoyed our drinks. Would we go back? Yes. Do we think service could be beter ? Without a doubt. Is it good value for money? Oh yes. Not an expensive night out at all.
