Finding a decent restaurant can often be a hit and miss affair but not so here - everyone is given an warm and friendly welcome and nothing seems to be too much trouble for the staff.
The restaurant/bar area is a very pleasant space with a welcoming log fire in cold weather and having a go on the golf course, the driving range or ten pin bowling at site allows one to entertain yourself before or after a meal or a drink (also handy, no doubt, for those that need to entertain children and teenagers whilst giving the adults the opportunity to have a quiet drink or meal).
Its handy location just off the A49 makes it a good place to drop in for a coffee or a proper pot of tea (with extra hot water) whether you live locally or are just travelling through the area.
The menu is considered and makes use of locally sourced produce to offer good value tasty food with portion sizes never having been an issue. When we have taken guests along with us they has always been favourably impressed - with our last guests commenting that it was the best Sunday lunch they had ever had. From the bar the beer is well kept and you can't get much more local than the apple juice from the owner's own orchard!
