“Lovely Christmas Break”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2014

Stayed at The Beaulieu Hotel between Christmas and New Year. Staff were all very nice and helpful. Food was very good with a good select. Bar was lovely with an open fire. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool. Would happily stay there again. Good value for a family of four.

we have been 3 times now and love it. Third year running we have not had wi-fi in our room so had to keep going to the lobby to get on line. The management must be aware of this as 3 years running i have informed them. As the restaurant is being decorated we had our meals in the drift inn which was fine but it felt less special, however my dog could come to breakfast and dinner this time which was lovely. Bed is gorgeous, room was come to that, no complaints only in the hotel bar, Guinness on tap was sold out, stella on tap, sold out, boddingtons on tap old out just bottled beers, maybe as the restaurant was closed they did not bother with the stock in their bar. Lovely stay feel relaxed and blessed.

First time in the New Forest for ages. The hotel stands along the Beauleigh Road, about 3 miles outside Lyndhurst. It was easy to find and parking was good. The railway runs nearby. We didn't use it but the trains seemed to be quite frequent.

On arrival we were pleasantly surprised by real fires burning in the hotel and our very spacious Agister room in the 'annex'. Do not be put off, these rooms are above the restaurant of the adjacent Drift Inn and are warm, spacious and extremely well-appointed. Lovely decor, fluffy towels in the scrupulously clean bathroom and all the usual amenities. There seemed to be unlimited hot water, the most powerful shower I have ever come across and (a thoughtful touch) low wattage night lights in the bathroom ceiling.

Our only minor criticism was that the free hotel wi-fi didn't extend across the car park adequately.

Breakfast was served in the Drift Inn - more real fires! - and evening meals too, as the hotel restaurant was closed for refurbishment.

All in all, a very relaxing and indulgent couple of days. There is lots to see and do in the area. We shall be back.

Better late than never!
Our stay was pleasant, the staff very helpful and the food lovely. If I was to find any fault it would be that the beds are too soft. Some people complained about the train noise but we didnt find it a problem.

I visited in January with my husband, young son (aged 4) and our Golden retriever. I was really impressed. The rooms were clean, warm and comfortable, and we were made to feel really welcome. The pool, although small was perfectly adequate, and spotlessly clean and we visited at different times of the day. The railway line was fairly close, and although I was aware of the trains it did not disturb me at all. I would not hesitate to visit again.

My wife and I have just had an anniversary weekend break at the Beaulieu Hotel and what a lovely time we had. We had a crown room which is situated above the restaurant of the Drift Inn which is a pub/restaurant attached to the hotel. The room is a very high standard and very comfortable. We had a dinner and breakfast deal and the food was also of a very good standard and plenty of choice. Due to hotel restaurant refurb we were given £25 a head to spend on dinner which was enough to have a 3 course meal if you desired. All the staff were very polite and could not fault, a special mention to Peter the general manager who has a first class approach to all the guests which has obviously been passed on to his staff. We will be going back to this hotel for sure after the great time we had there.

Room Tip: Try and get a Crown Room above the Drift Inn.

We stayed here from the 1st November for 2 nights. We have driven past many times and have eaten at The Drift when on holiday as it is dog friendly and the food is very good and it has a lovely atmosphere. We were lucky to be in a Garden Room which was warm and cosy and contrary to other reviews we never heard a train, and this suited us so well with our dog. We wouldn't personally leave our dog in a hotel room whilst we go to breakfast so we usually eat seperately but on the first morning the lovely lady in the restaurant was concerned i was alone and that my husband would come down once i was finished. She enquired if we were staying another night and when i replied yes she said she would arrange for a table to be set up for us in the bar so we could breakfast together - true to her word she did (and it was only a short nip for us to get our things from the buffett) and everything else was served in the same way as if we were in the restaurant ~ just this little thing does make all of the difference !!!! we were both impressed with the breakfast choice and with what we had. Nothing was too much trouble, the staff were welcoming and friendly and the hotel has a lovely atmosphere to it. we have booked a further break there.

Room Tip: The Garden Rooms are great if you have a dog with you (I think there are 3)
