“Incredible B&B, Amazing Facilities, Fantastic Holiday!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2009

I was looking for a hotel/B&B to take my boyfriend away for his 24th birthday. I was looking at the reviews for different places in and surrounding the New Forest on trip advisor, and came across the 'Little Paddock', for which i did not find a negative review. However, these reviews really do not give this place justice!

Upon arrival, Brett was waiting outside on the patio to greet us as we pulled in. As he introduced himself to us, Sue appeared, and the first thing she did was offer us a drink.

Sue took us on a tour of the place, showing where everything was, and then showed us to our room, which was the Spring room. The decor inside was incredibly well put together, with a neutral feeling throughout. I was expecting there to be a lot of 'B&Bish typical things', showing Sue and Brett's personal preferences to things. This however was not the case. Everything was so subtly done, with just the right amount of personal items to make the stay incredible.

The entrances to the B&B rooms were also really good. Having the french doors allowed access to the room, without disturbing anyone else.

On waking up the following morning, going down for breakfast outside was a really pleasant experience. The food was incredible, and the atmosphere and service was fantastic. Sue and Brett were both very talkative and inviting, yet not too much to be pushy or nosey. They both took an interest into what we would be doing each day.

The room was so clean, with everything you could need to hand. The swimming pool was amazing, being able to swim in the outdoor pool all year round, due to its cover. The Sauna and hot tub were superb, and although there is a service charge, me and my boyfriend were both more than happy to pay it, as it is well worth it!

The B&B was also centrally located, taking 45 mins to reach the destinations of each places we went to each day.

This B&B is incredible, Sue and Brett have put a great deal of hard labour and heart into it, and it can be seen. Not a thing out of place, or wrong with the stay. We are definitely coming back, in fact, our 2nd visit has already been booked!! Would recommend to anyone!

We stayed in Bramble Lodge at the end of half term in May, after really struggling to find anything that was flexible enough on dates and seemed reasonable value.

I'm glad we did - it was exactly the break that we were after.

I'm not the first to say just how good hosts Sue and Brett are. They are friendly and helpful without being the remotest bit intrusive - and they deserve every bit of success for hard work they have put into the place. Happy holiday environments like this don't just happen by accident.

Particularly, I guess, In May - while the rhododendron bushes are flowering - it's a very pretty place to be. The bbq area at the amusingly named 'Village Green' tucked up behind the lodges is excellent too. It was a real plus for us that the lodges are adults only too.

Our lodge was really nicely decorated, had all the facilities you could want and probably had the best position, at the back, with a nice big decked area at the front to sit out in the sun. The communal lodge had loads of DVDs, books, leaflets of things to do, etc. We'd recommend following the cycle route around Burley for sure. Especially when you've got the chance to rest achey muscles in the spa at the end of the day!

I'm sure that with recommendations from those who visit, visitor numbers will grow and grow and Little Paddock will be a great success. You never quite know what a 'luxury lodge' is going to turn out like, but we normally stay in 4* hotels and we were pleasantly surprised.

Stay here, you won't regret it.

I have just returned from the Little Paddock with my girlfriend and have to day it was wonderful, the B&B was impecable and the surroundings were amazing. It is set in a beautiful location with everything and more you would want from a B&B, I have stayed at some hotels that offer less than the Little Paddock. The sauna and hot tub are amazing and perfect for unwinding at the end of the day. Also the Breakfast is the best fry up I have ever had and all cooked fresh to order. Me and my Girlfriend will certainly be going back and will be definately staying longer it is so good and Brett and Sue make you feel at home. Please go to this place it is a hidden gem and you will not regret it.

All I can say is go. We had an amazing time and Sue and Brett were the best hosts. We stayed in the Summer room and it was gorgeous. The weather wasn't the best, but the hot tub and sauna at the end if the day made the weather insignificant. Please go and support this new business and please book directly with them so there are no agents fees. Can't recommend it enough.

If you are looking for a stress free break, I would highly recommend an escape to Little Paddock right on the edge of the New Forest. Nothing was too much trouble for Brett and Sue and they have considered every possible need you may have whilst on holiday, including plenty of advice on where to eat and enjoy a pint of local ale! We stayed in a very equipped luxury lodge - the perfect base for a relaxing and activity filled break. We managed to squeeze in visits to a few attractions both onsite and off. There's so many to indulge in; the hot tub, pool and sauna onsite and then there's the dry ski slope, the Avon Wood (Accessible within 5 mins of our Lodge), many cycle routes to choose from and a lovely farm shop - from where you can order a food hamper which can even be ordered online prior to arrival. We are only sorry that we couldn't stay longer and it was too early in the year to enjoy a barbeque - maybe next time!

Sue and Brett, made us feel at home from the minute we met, we stayed in the B&B part of Little Paddock and found this to be excellent, clean, comfortable, everything you could possibly need, Our breakfast was super and kept us going most of the day. The facilities at Little Paddock are hard to match up to when booking a B&B as they have a pool, sauna, steam-room, forest walk at back of property, BBQ facilities for your use with covered seating area, a glass dome that you can sit in any time,( this is an extended seating area in the garden) or you can even bring back a take away to eat here (they supply cutlery etc) The fact the property catered for adults only in this part was great for us. Children can of course still enjoy Little Paddock if camping in the adjacent field with parents and also have the use of the pool between 10am and 5pm so everybody is happy at Little Paddock. But just before we left Sue showed us the fabulous Lodges and they were so beautiful and had everything you could possibly need and very tastefully decorated to suite the names of the lodges, All I can say is you must go and see for yourself you will not be disappointed. PS there is also a dry ski slope just down the road if you want a bit more adventure than the New Forest!
