“A excellent Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

We have just had a two night stay at Moortown Lodge while my son was doing the Forestman Triathlon and we couldn't fault it. The owners were very welcoming and helpful the rooms were beautifully clean and I loved the art work on the walls. All the toiletries , water and food for breakfast were locally sourced and the breakfast was great, plenty of it freshly cooked. Well worth a stay if you are in the New Forest area you will not be disappointed.

We can highly recommend this establishment. Moortown Lodge is run by people who think of everything and make you feel very welcome. Our ground floor room had an excellent range of toiletries, bottled water, quality biscuits, tea, coffee, hot chocolate etc. etc. There was a wide range of information about local attractions and restaurants. We enjoyed the lovely breakfast with hot food cooked to order.

My daughter, son-in-law, 2 grandsons, husband and I have just returned from a 3 night stay at Moortown Lodge and had a lovely time. The rooms were lovely and clean and the breakfasts lasted me through the whole day. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. Thank you.

We have meant to write this review for a long time. We have stayed here numerous times. The quality of the room is always exemplary, the welcome you receive is faultless, and the breakfast is outstanding. Our only fear is that too many people disc hover the Moortown Lodge meaning we won't be able to book in the future!

Room Tip: They are all good

Nothing was too much trouble for Mr & Mrs Meredith in this Laura Ashley decorated georgian former hunting lodge; and it was 'anything you like' for breakfast. Strongly recomended. There is a wide variety of places for an evening meal in Ringwood - we chose Al Trulli for it's delicious Italian food.

Room Tip: An immaculate B&B, with anything that you want for breakfast - nothing was too much trouble for...

We stayed for a night at the Moortown Lodge and were not expecting to arrive until about midnight. However this was not a problem to the owners and they went out of their way to accommodate us. However in the end we actually arrived at just after 10pm. We had a lovely double room on the ground floor which was extremely clean and well thought out. There was a massive double bed (which would be good if you had an argument with your partner!) with crips white sheets and puffy pillows. There were lots of selections on the complimentary tray which also had ground coffee and a cafetiere. The ensuite was also a very clean - my only criticism if I had to make one would be that the shower temperature did fluctuate rather. There was also a large flat screen tv, wifi, many sockets, alarm clock, and most things that you could ever need. In the bedside draw the owners had even though to put an emergency pack for use should you have forgotten something e.g. toothbrush. In the morning the dining room was immaculate with a range of cereals, fruit juices etc. We had the cooked english and had requested it at 7.30am as we had an early appointment. This was served promptly with toast and was substantial, beautifully cooked and not greasy at all. I would definitely stay there again - especially as the owners were so helpful and friendly. The car park was quite small but there were ample spaces. It is next to a David Lloyd centre if you like your health and fitness regime to continue when you are away from home.

Room Tip: We had room number 7 which is on the ground floor and suitable for a disabled person. We did not fi...

We stayed here for 1 night in April 2013. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast is fantastic with plenty to choose from. The owners are very friendly and welcoming, with plenty of good tips about where to go for dinner in the town. The B&B is about 10 mins walk from the town centre.
