“Just what you need!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2012

I have specifically come on here to write my first ever review purely because our hosts John and Stephanie were absolutely amazing!. After being slightly dubious of going to a B&B (we always go hotel-ling :)), we are totally converted. We were picked up from the station and dropped back by John who refused to let us get a cab. Informative and helpful about all the places to see. Too top it off the room was lovely and the breakfast equally as nice, Try the jam! (homemade).

Regards

Daniel and Michelle

Stephanie and John very kindly fitted us in at less than 24 hours' notice and were happy to organise a separate room on the same floor as mine and my partner's for my 13-year-old stepson. Tea and homemade cake was provided for us on arrival! Rooms were clean, comfortable and well equipped, with lovely views; breakfast was excellent and included homemade preserves. Our hosts were knowledgeable about the local area, and gave us plenty of information on the best places to eat, what to visit and how to get there. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return some time soon.

Room Tip: Although I can honestly say we weren't affected by any noise from it, the front of the house doe...

The worst I can say is that they sometimes try a little too hard to make you welcome. This is the kind if problem I like. Clean, everything works and there is heaps to eat at breakfast if you want it. Would recommend it and would unhesitatingly go again.

Four of us have just spent 2 nights at John and Steph's B+B in Lyndhurst..Well it is 5 star all the way! Excellent from the moment we stepped in the front door, coffee and cake is served by Steph in the lounge, what a lovely start. We had a four poster bedroom, chocolates on the bed both mornings:) dont even get that touch in classy hotels! Breakfast was excellent, all freshly cooked and jams etc homemade! We really enjoyed our stay here, 5 minutes walk just outside of Lyndhurst town center..would recommend this B+B to anyone:) John and Steph are very very chatty and they make you feel at home! Thank you so much!:)

There isn’t much I can add to this review that hasn’t already been said a hundred times already in other reviews. except to say The Whitemoor House is absolutely outstanding, 5* all the way.
Stephanie and John are the perfect hosts, from the moment my wife and I arrive, we felt more like family than guests, the rooms were spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds and the food was exceptional, all fresh local produce even homemade preserves and very well presented.
The very high standards that Stephanie and John have set for their B&B is to be highly commended and you will be hard pressed to find better anywhere else, so if you’re looking to visit the new forest and want top quality accommodation and service, then put Whitemoor House top of your list, you won’t be disappointed.

My boyfriend&I returned home today after an extremely pleasant 4 night stay at Whitemoor House. We have stayed before and so I booked again for my boyfriend's belated birthday. We were not let down.... The first time we stayed was fabulous and this time wasn't any different! We were greeted with a warm
smile and tea/coffee and homemade cake in the guest lounge and went up to the Burley room. A beautiful, clean room fit for a king or queen with lovely views of the garden. The breakfast is absolutely lovely, and what I like particularly is that there is no grease on the plate and it's extremely tasty&feels as though it has been made with love!
The last evening when we returned from our meal we were pleasantly surprised to find a bottle of champagne and card in our room for my boyfriend's birthday. We were overwhelmed and thought this was a lovely touch that John and Stephanie really didn't have to do! A lovely B&B that deserves all the credit it gets due to John&Stephanie's experience and good nature! We will definitely be returning!
