Now after reading the reviews on here i was thinking have i made a mistake in booking,as i did not use trip advisor first and found a quick booking on Trivargo,
I got there to book in and found there was no booking,so i checked my email sent to my phone and see for some reason my booking was not booked in the the 10th March,how i dont know but i have to take full responsabilty on this not checking the booking,
But after speaking to Suzie @ reception she explained no fax came and was lucky and if i phone laterooms and explain and get them to fax this would not be a problem and she has a room for us knowing we came 80 miles,so a thumbs up to Suzie coz it could have cost us double.
Now we get to the room,room 16 at the back of the hotel over looking the garden,was OK not the best i have stayed in but for under £40 for a night it worked its purpose,yes some decore could need updating but its an old place and people on here moaning about the floorboards,come on stop it now.
The only thing i would say was the room was so hot and could not turn down the heating,is that a bad thing in winter,just open the bathroom window which let the breeze in,this needed to be done,i thought i was in the Med,
The other plus is this is prime location right in the heart of the New Forest and perfect if you liking tracking/riding this is 2nd too none
Would i stay there again proberly always liking trying other locations and getting my own views on visits,
So too sum up for the price its ok theres alot worse outthere and for me if you go with an open mind its ok,
I did not eat there but a lovley pub called the stag hotel a 100 yards away,fantastic food,
Dont Expect too much,but prime location and remember you only sleeping there
