I have to say that I am really mystified by some of the negative reviews of Ranvilles Farmhouse on this site. We had a lovely time and felt that the owners could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Even when our boy decided he didn't fancy the hot breakfast he had previously said he wanted the night before, the owners were kind and helpful. We needed to wash some baby bottles too, and they allowed us to use their laundry room and even provided a baby bottle brush!
The room was massive, with two distinct 'zones' which worked great for us as we could hear our 8 year old and our baby as they were only a few metres away, but we could turn the light out in their half of the room (which was down a step) and still read ourselves after they had gone to sleep. The room had a massive double bed (felt like two big singles pushed together, perhaps that zipped together?), one single bed, and there was also a large foot stool which was perfect for the Moses basket, and there was still a chaise longue too! The room certainly wasn't chilly, if anything it was a wee bit warm for our liking. There is tons of parking and the house and grounds are lovely. From our perspective nothing not to like and a great base from which to explore the New Forest.
We had the family room which is great for two adults, a child and a baby.
