Got a good deal through Laterooms. £49.50 for a single. Hotel set in attractive grounds. Room was very nice overall with all the usual things you would expect, hairdryer, tea/coffee, iron/board, etc.
The bathroom was smart & clean, but there was no bath and the shower cubicle was the smallest I had ever encountered! It was fitted into the corner and once in, you could not even bend over to wash your feet!! Nowhere in there to put shampoo or conditioner, just a small soapdish.
This is a conference hotel. The bar was empty and there was no atmosphere at all. However, I was going out anyway so it didn't matter. If you want a change from a Travel Inn or something with just a warm, comfortable bed for the night, this would be ideal. I would stay here again, but only if I was planning to go out elsewhere for the evening.
