“Bust.ing pub with mainly fish dishes”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2013

Very busy at 8 pm on Thursday.
Food came promptly and was pleasantly served.
Unfortunately a lack of outside lighting caused me to trip on an obstacle in the car park. Rather spoilt my experience.

“Excellent service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

I would just like to say what wonderful service we received when I took my friend for a meal at this pub. They were very busy and all tables were full, but the young girl moved a table for us so we could sit downstairs as my friend has problems climbing the stairs. The pub seemed short staffed giving that they were so busy but the two young girls worked really hard and kept everything flowing well and were so very polite. One girl in particular could not do enough to help us. What a lovely pleasant meal we had and the service we received was excellent. Well done to your staff who were all excellent.

“Nice location, friendly restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013

We visited this restaurant for a family get together. Upon booking our table, we were told we would have to get everyones order beforehand, and they would have to order the food in. Sounded odd considering we were just ordering off the menu and there were no exceptional meals that needed to be cooked.

We booked our table for 1pm, and even though we had placed our food order days before, we assumed we would have our meals in front of us quite close to 1pm. Instead we waited a whole 45 minutes before our food got to the table, and even then they didn't have some of the orders. This was not good as we had two very unsettled children with us.

Other than that, the meal was average, the service at the table was very good, and the location is fantastic.

A word of warning - even though there is a car park, it is virtually impossible to park in it.

“nice location, friendly pub”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

Came here for an evening meal. The pub is well situated on the edge of langstone harbour, it's a nice place to sit outside on a warm afternoon. Staff were pleasant and helpful, the pub also has some nice touches like sunscreen available on the bar for people to use.

Food is good standard pub fare, looks like they have some good seafood options sometimes, but didn't try any of these whilst I was there. It's another Fullers pub, so standard Fullers beers which were well kept.

“Excellent food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

There was a very good choice and had we known the size of the portions we certainly would not have had a starter! We had whitebait for starter which was plentiful and tasty. To follow we had roast beef which came with crispy roast potatoes, a huge yorkshire pudding, fresh cabbage, carrots and the best swede I have ever tasted. Unfortunately we had no room for a dessert. Wine, as is usual, was very over priced but I cannot fault the meal or service at all. Would definitely return on my next visit to the area.
