“Better than a chain store but little more”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012 via mobile

Visited after many years and won't be rushing back by choice. On the plus side good decor and atmosphere but food was nothing special and not value for the money. The food is more genuine that the typical mass market Italian chain store but not the finest Italian cuisine. Fine for large parties where the food is secondary but not recommended for 'that special meal', that said I have spoken to others who like this place so perhaps it was the chefs night off!

“Birthdat Treat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

10 of us went for my birthday. We had a great time with several bottles of wine and complimentary bottles of Amaretto and grappa to finish off the meal. One steak seemed a little underdone but we didn't complain at the time and all the other dishes were well received and much enjoyed.
I've been a few times before and as always the service was just brilliant.
I am a coeliac and they always get this right - never been ill after a meal here.
Thanks guys for a lovely evening at a reasonable price, we'll be back!

“Traditional Italian food, good wines”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012

Food is good here, but something tells you it can be a lot better. So the price could be better.
I have been here for a Christmas party and with friends.
Always good atmosphere on the weekends, very quiet during the week.
The wine choice is very good and nice.
Friendly good service.

“Nice setting but Food average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012

I had been several years ago to a Company Christmas do which was fine but went recenlty on a Friday night with my wife and I was'nt that impressed with the food. The surroundings are fine and we were seated upstairs which again was fine however we were rushed through our courses and had to say hold it for the coffees. I think as we were booked for 8 they were rushing us so they could cope with the later sittings. We ordered the starter and main course and within 5 minutes the starter was served which was a risotto starter and mushrooms in garlic, For the risotto to be served so quick means it was not cooked fresh but reheated and the muschrooms I think were out a tin soaked in a bland garlic sauce. Our plates were cleared quickley and within 10 minutes the main course was served. I had the duck which was again bland and my wfie has the lamb stew which she said was ok but nothing special, both served with a small plate of mostly poatoes and roasted onions. Again as soon as we finsihed plates were gone and did we want desert at which point i said slow down and come back in a while. By now the place was two thirds full. To make the evening last we drunk our coffees very slowly. Overall the surroundings great but to quick with the service and the food was average.
