“Good value for money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013 via mobile

Stayed for five nights, very comfortable, staff very friendly and extremely helpful. Well located for visits to Portsmouth and Goodwood Revival. Would recommend. Only downside TGI Fridays, looked at menus and decided to try The Talisman Public House which turned out to be an excellent choice, good varied menus, quick service, excellent value.

Okay, so it's a chain hotel, but the staff were some of the most helpful I've ever come across. Would they check me in for a flight and print my boarding pass, no charge? Of course! Room was spotless, bed comfortable and shower hot.

Only stayed here one night before catching a ferry. Warm welcome, helpful staff, lovely room. No complaints. Shopping centre (Whiteley) with lots of eating choices and a Tesco's a couple of miles away if the on site TGI's doesn't suit.

This is a lovely place to be away from home. The staffs were so friendly and supportive. Having stayed previously in some Premier Inn in the past years all over the country, this is my best one. Its centrally located between Southampton and Portsmouth and me and my family really enjoy our stay for the 2 nights than any previous hotels in the pasts. What a home away from home!!!.

Room Tip: the family room was quite good value for the money, less noise and nice breakfast.

I have stayed here on a number of occasions and never had any major problems, its a good location for both Southampton and Portsmouth.the rooms were very clean and comfortable as was the en suite bathroom.i did have a slight issue this time as I was able to hear a resident walking about in the room above and this was quite loud, other than that I can not fault it. i have stayed in a number of premier inns in that area on business and its certainly one of the best.

Have stayed at several Premier Inns throughout the country over the last year. They offer a good quality accommodation for the price. We booked 3 months in advance so got a very good rate on the room, We needed to be at Southampton Docks the next morning and this was an excellent location. Finding the hotel was a bit tricky as its not sign posted off the round about but once found the parking was available. Check in was completed easily and the room was ready and waiting. Lack of towels was easily sorted by the receptionists. Wi Fi was used to access Internet, purchased a 24 hour voucher.

Only down side was outside Premier Inns control is that meals / breakfast is available at TGI Fridays opposite. We had booked a table as it was on a Friday, however if you want a quiet meal this is not the place to go to, as the music level is very loud. Waitress service is very good but the food quality and slow delivery shows that the kitchen staff are not up to the same quality, The chips accompanying one meal were fairly bland and not very well cooked. The wedge salad looked nothing like the menu. There were numerous complaints from other diners and we did have a discount on the bill,

Breakfast the next day at TGI Fridays was very slow and the excuse by the staff was that they did not know the numbers of people that were going to have breakfast, therefore they did not have the available staff,

For eating I'd recommend a trip up to Whitelys Shopping Centre 10 minutes drive up the road where there are a number of good restaurants.

I will be staying at the Premier Inn, Fareham but definitely not eating at TGI Fridays.
