“Fantastic, unique experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2013 via mobile

We'd read the reviews, and heard from friends what a great place Arty's was for a night out. So we decided to try it with friends.

It certainly doesn't disappoint, it's definitely a casual bistro ambiance, but there all similarities with any other eating place you've ever eaten end. Paul makes you very welcome in his 'front room/art house/games room/ object d'art emporium', and you can choose whether to sit on the chesterfields, or at the dining tables (or decide you want to buy them and take them home'.

The other reviews concerning 'baked Camembert/chilli jam' and 'pizzas' were spot on, best I've ever tasted. Food, wine and 'collectibles', all great value.

We will be back again soon for another fun night out.

“Great first trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2013

Following the excellent reviews, we went for our first visit and were not disappointed.
Can perhaps see why some of the negative comments were put off as it certainly is different! But that is one of its main attractions! Particularly the 'car boot explosion' description is fairly apt but this quirkiness is one of the reasons we liked it so much. To go along with this, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, and keen to make us feel welcome. And of course, the food (even our risky pineapple and chilli pudding) and the wine went down very well and great value too.
So if, for whatever reason, you might be initially put off - don't! Perhaps if you're after a polished conventional wine bar you might be disappointed but if you'd like to relax with some good food in a friendly atmosphere then this is well worth the trip and we will certainly be going back.

“Bonkers but brilliant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2013

Just come back from our first visit to Arty's. Despite being local I never knew this place existed and went on the basis of the other reviews here and we were not disspointed. Fabulous baked Camembert with freshly made bread sticks and the best chilli jam followed by wonderful pizzas.
Love the extremely relaxed atmosphere, the wonky pool tables and the friendliness of Paul, the owner. We will most certainly be back

“A day to remember”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2013

Paul and Julie made us very welcome when we used their venue for our Practice training "away day". We had breakfast, mid morning coffee and biscuits and lunch - everything was great. The food was second to none!
Would definitely recommend as a venue with a difference!

“Developments et al”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2013

Another, visit another enjoyable evening, with the new menu and superior wines why bother go elsewhere, make sure you have a few pennies left in case there is anything you see and you can "Barter" over. THe food is excellent and not for the faint hearted. In te veneing there are candles on the table as per photograph - could be romatic, but alot going on. Julies "Bean Stew" can't remember whats it was properly called warms the "cockles of your heart" Sadly an early report is very confusing - not clear if the person ever ventured in. There is also a very comfortable seating area, which can be used for meeting friends, but watch the fiendish clock!!!
