Description: Welcome to the Toby Carvery Bishopstoke. When it comes to roast dinners, we really know our stuff. Every day our chefs lay on a feast of tender, hand-carved meats with all the trimmings – including towering Yorkshire puds, golden roasties with all those lovely little crunchy bits, and plenty of freshly prepared veg, all crowned with proper gravy. So it's no wonder we're Eastleigh’s favourite carvery restaurant. Drop by and you'll find lots more on offer, including cooked breakfasts and tasty specials.

“Not The Best Breakfast Buffet”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2012

While the breakfast buffet is only £3.99, if you want coffee/tea the price is £5.79, and juices are surprisingly not included in the price of breakfast. I had to order an Orange Juice for my wife which came to £2.10 on it's own.

The menu is quite limited (sausage, bacon, hash browns, black pudding, potato/onion fryover), fried eggs, toast/jam), and doesn't appear to vary. They also seem to have problems keeping the food warm as well as replenishing them.

The biggest problem on this lates visit was the state of the plates. At least 3 out of every 4 plates on the stack were dirty, having dried food on them. We were just one of the groups of people that picked over the plates, and soon there was a huge pile of dirty ones and practically no clean ones.

It's a shame, since there are not many places to go for breakfast in the Southampton/Eastleigh area, and Toby Carveries generally have a good name.

“Breakfast”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2012

The young lady that took out money was lovely - that was the only nice thing about it! The food had been put under hotplates and was baked, the bacon and black pudding was so hard it made tapping noises when you hit it on the plate, the non existance eggs appeared finally only to be snapped up by others in front of us waiting, sausages had come out of their skins and were horrid. Chef/cook lady shouting to nice young lady 'wipe all the tables off and get them clean before lunchtime and I want something to eat' in front of the diners wasnt nice either. NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN.

“Fair food for a fair price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2012

We had the carvery, nice portions of meat, I had turkey and beef with two big yorkshire puds. Then help yourself to the pots and veg. Take as much or little as you like. We have been quite a few times and will continue to visit during the summer as you can eat in the garden.
