“Fabulous Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

I went here last weekend for a spa weekend with a friend and can't fault it. The only and this is the only downside I can say is that I went for a relaxing weekend full of treatments and swimming but there were loads of kids. It is an amazing hotel and there are heaps of facilities for children but we were not aware of this before we went there. When I went to go to the pool the sounds of kids screaming and shouting was too much so carried on walking....

Any traveller hoping to book a world class hotel outside of London would do well to book this hotel. A wonderful mixture of exceptional well known Four Seasons service with the added Englishness of the countryside and activities. We had a great stay as we always do, an amazing rest, out of this world treatments (They have never disappointed in the 20 odd times we have stayed here which is an achievement in its own right) and this is our place to stay when we need to recharge, check out and spend time together as a family. The hotel manages to welcome everyone without compromising the elegance and sophistication that makes it so enticing and enjoyable.

Make the most of the beautiful rooms, the spa and the dinners here ~ and be sure to take a ride at the stables and a walk in the countryside ~ and book another night as I am sure you will not wish to leave when it is time to go.

We will be back soon, hopefully to enjoy some overdue spring sunshine.

This is a five star hotel with an excellent spa, coffee shop and grounds, free bikes, and other country based activities are available (clay pigeon shooting, fishing, horse riding...).

We have stayed several times and it has always been a treat - except once when one of the staf was adding a bed, ignored us, and spent the whole time on his mobile phone! The hotel ofered a free upgrade next time as an apology.
Food is good, priced as you would expect butnot extorionate, room service is good too AND they allow dogs in some rooms.

We will go again, its one of our favourites, and the treats for our daughter on arrival were a noce touch.

Rooms are spacious and comfortable, the bathrooms luxurious, the beds enormous. It is everything I expect from a hotel and we always leave feeling well cared for and pampered.

Room Tip: Rooms over looking the inner garden have a limited view, "Garden" rooms near the spa overl...

I have visited the hotel several times for business and have always been impressed with the surroundings and service so arranged a personal trip.

As always great surroundings, indoors and out. Lovely spa, good dining room, great staff.

This is quite possibly the finest hotel I have stayed at.
The service from start to finish (and across all departments: reception, room service, restaurants, housekeeping) was absolutely impeccable.
Some examples of the high quality of service:
- On check in, we were escorted to our room by the receptionist who told us a bit about the hotel, its services and facilities and the history of the building.
- As a sort of test, I asked housekeeping for nail clippers (which I did not expect they would be able to provide). A full nail kit (scissors, clippers, file) was promptly delivered to my room.
- I could not figure out how to operate the tv (I was being stupid). A technician was sent to my room within minutes.
- I wanted to order ice cream from the room service menu along with the rest of my food but did not want it to melt whilst I ate my main course. The room service staff said that she would send the ice cream over 20 minutes after my main course had been delivered. The ice cream did in fact arrive at precisely the right time.
- In general, every member of staff we met was unobtrusive, firendly, obliging, and highly trained.
The rooms and bathrooms are luxurious, well appointed, well decorated and extremely spacious. The communal areas within the hotel are immaculate and although we did not use the spa the facilities look amazing (if very expensive). The hotel grounds, whilst vast, are not the most picturesque but we enjoyed a good long walk.
The hotel is undeniably pricey but is worth it for a real treat. This is an excellent hotel.

We stayed 1 night and two days at the four seasons. This is the second time we have been and this time we took the complementary bikes to cycle around the grounds.

Every member of staff was extremely helpful, the room was beautiful and the food was great.

Being so close to london it was a perfect getaway.

Only reason for the 4 for value for money was that it is an expensive hotel, possible this is the reason why it is so good though.

Thank you

The 4 Seasons Hampshire is a true gem - a mixture of grandness with relaxation (the labrador that ran up the greet us set the tone). Set in beautiful rolling Hampshire countryside - which is the view from all the restaurants, it is a mixture of luxury and special service while at the same time not a hint of snobbery that besets so many 'country house' hotels. The Spa is wonderful - all the staff were so friendly and the treatments are just what you need for a relaxing visit, highlighted by laying around the indoor pool at a perfect temperature. The hotel is very child friendly, so whether you want to have a gourmet supper or fish and chips with the kids there is an option to suit all - the food was delicious and at breakfast I couldn't think of anything else to ask for, Really nice change from the posh, and the formal yet still with the luxury away from home.

Room Tip: There is a new addition, but the room was huge and contained same furniture as those in the old hous...
